It was such a pleasure to open the new home of T...he Exchange with Linus Power this morning. The Exchange has already made a huge difference for this community, helping over 1000 Logan locals get a job in industries like childcare and construction. I’m proud that the Palaszczuk Government is continuing to invest in this fantastic initiative to help even more Queenslanders into a job. A big thanks to one of our small business grant recipients Thom & Ann's for the fantastic food!

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Storeperson to work as part of our warehouse team, ensuring ...the timely and accurate dispatch and receiving of goods. If you have extensive experience working in a busy warehouse, suitable potential management skills, then please apply. The Warehouse Team Member will report directly to the Warehouse Supervisor. The successful person will have proven experience and ability to be able to carry out the following functions: Assist in coordinating the daily pick run for customer orders, Clear communication with key staff Assist with the daily warehouse function (Goods Inwards and Despatch) Carry out stock rotation and control when directed Responding quickly to changing priorities in a fast paced environment Skills, Experience and Knowledge required: Proven experience in a warehouse role in particular but not limited to accurate picking & packing of customer orders Communicating efficiently and effectively, The ability to problem solve in a fast paced environment Stock control Knowledge of transport consignment notes Forklift licence & Open Drivers License The above skills will assist in timely and accurate dispatch of products to customers ensuring they are received in good order and on time This is a busy and varied role which requires a "hands on" leadership approach. Working within a team environment a good attention to detail and a sense of urgency are essential requirements. A Forklift & Open Drivers licence is essential. Experience in warehousing & distribution of grocery products to the independent market will be of great advantage. Knowledge of Queensland & Northern Rivers areas is an advantage. Remuneration is initially based on The General Storage, Warehouse & Distribution Award, SEQ Only successful candidates will be contacted. 10.01.2022 Danny, one of the first job seekers to register with The Yarrabilba Jobs Exchange in December 2016 returned with his family to celebrate the 2 year milestone wi...th staff. Danny attended the first Job Club in January 2017 where he participated in intensive job search sessions targeted at the mining/security sectors and had his CV tailored to suit career goals. Danny went on to gain employment with BHP Billiton in the Bowen Basin as an Emergency Services Officer and manages BOOM SQUAD, a local community-based fitness program for all levels. 10.01.2022 Located in Wongawallan Drive, near Coles, a new showrooms development of 2,300sqm will be developed by a private e...ntity. Tenants have not been confirmed at this stage but the site will be home to a new childcare centre. Construction has now commenced on site with completion of the showrooms expected in late 2021.
