That's why it's important that we provide parks and green spaces that cater for hoomans and also ones that cater for pooches and pups too. 24.01.2022 It's been a mammoth task but we've finally finished rolling out over 27,000 new, glass-only bins to all households and businesses we service in #Yarra! Made from 100% recycled materials, the purple-lidded glass bins will take us one step closer to becoming more sustainable, by using waste as a resource instead of sending it to landfill. From tomorrow you can start separating glass into your new purple bin , there’s also changes to what can go in you yellow-lidded b...in and when to put your bins out. 24.01.2022 We're lucky to have some of the greatest parks in #Melbourne, right here in #Yarra. #EdinburghGardens is a community favourite and we know it's been buzzing these past few weekends, so we've increased our amenities around the area: We've installed more toilets We've added a urinal trough.... We've also increased cleaning of toilets: Twice per day during the week Three times per day on weekends and public holidays. This weekend we'll have additional signage up to direct visitors to the nearest toilets, to encourage people to be COVID safe and to remind groups of our local laws. 17.01.2022 Keeping track of what day it is, can be hard and knowing which night is bin night is even harder! From 23 November your purple glass bin and yellow recycling bin will be collected on different weeks, and alternate moving forward. To check which bins you need to put out first, you'll need to check your new bin collection calendar. We've also created an SMS reminder system, to help you keep track of which bins need to go out each week. That’s one less thing for you to ...think about! This year we aren't able to hold our annual Carols in the Park (thanks COVID) so we've created Rock Around the Block to spread the festive cheer - without getting too near. 09.01.2022 If you're heading to Citizens Park to walk your pooch and stretch your legs , please be mindful it's a shared space. We've recently refurbished the cricket pitch at #CitizensPark and although we've fenced off the area and put out a cover, dogs still seem to be getting in and running amok. If you and your pooch are regulars at the park, please be respectful of the shared space. Pick up after your dog... Don't let your dog dig holes Make sure you have effective control of your dog at all times. Let's work together to make the space a great place for everyone to visit.
