22.01.2022 In the interests of our guests health and safety Yarra Gables has instigated contactless check in and check out. When you arrive every thing you normally come to reception for will be in your room. We will text your room number to you on your day of arrival. Upon leaving simply leave your key in your room. We have instigated additional cleaning and are disinfecting regularly. All rooms and houses have independent access and no indoor common areas. We have large open spaces and plenty of room to allow for distance between guests. If you do need to cancel we understand and will not be charging cancellation fees. Let’s work together and get through this!

22.01.2022 I want to be the first to share with you some good news for Victoria’s wineries and lovers of a premium Victorian drop! After working closely with Wine Victo...ria, I'm excited to say that from 1 June, Victoria’s winery restaurants and cafes can resume dine-in service so long as they are meeting the requirements outlined by the Chief Health Officer, including patron limits, physical distancing, signage and hygiene. Cafes and restaurants will be able to resume dine-in service with up to 20 patrons per enclosed space. Those wineries with a restaurant or cafe will be able to sell alcohol by the bottle and glass, or sell a wine tasting experience if they are serving with a seated meal. They can also sell full bottles from their cellar doors for consumption off the premises. As part of this sales process a cellar door may also choose to offer free samples of its produce to a seated customer to help the customer choose what to buy (wine tasting). This plan is in line with our approach to cautiously and carefully reopen our cafes, restaurants and other food and drink facilities, helping to restore jobs and rebuild our economy. 20.01.2022 Our guests love the garden at Yarra Gables and enjoy checking out the vege patch!! The glasshouse has also become a bit of a feature!! Onion harvest has been very successful. Come and stay - we are COVID certified and have plenty of space for you to enjoy!!

Our collection exhibition ‘Making Her Mark’ will be on display from 1...4 July to 23 August, highlighting incredible works by leading women artists held in the collection of TarraWarra Museum of Art. Our reopening comes with a few new measures including timed ticketing, capacity limits and increased cleaning regimes, and we will continue to offer digital experiences online for those who choose not to visit us in person just yet. 05.01.2022 On this day in 2003, TarraWarra Museum of Art officially opened its doors to the public - making today our sweet 16th! Construction on the site began in 2002, l...ed by designer Allan Powell and builders Probuild. Powell's elegant design arcs gently from the earth in concert with the contours and hues of the surrounding landscape, and was awarded the 2004 Victorian Premier’s Design Award. The first exhibition at the new museum was titled New Beaut Country, curated by inaugural Director Maudie Palmer AO from the TarraWarra Museum of Art collection, which originated from the personal collection of philanthropists and Museum founders Eva Besen AO and Marc Besen AC. As passionate collectors of Australian art from the 1950s to the present day, they not only gifted a a significant proportion of their collection of modern and contemporary Australian art, but also the building that houses the Museum.
