22.01.2022 Congratulations to Abbie who was presented with the 2020 Clubperson of the Year Award at the AGM held on Sunday. The Award which recognises a club member who has strived above and beyond the normal call of duty for the overall benefit of the club and its members. Abbie has recently completed the Future Leaders Program conducted Tennis Victoria (with rave reviews from Tennis Victoria), organised and implemented a Girls Program to encourage more girls to take up tennis (as... part of her Future Leaders Project), happily took on a coaching role with the younger kids to assist Jarron deal with the restriction on numbers during COVID, and put her hand up to run a Tennis 4 Teens Program at the club in the New Year (watch this space) - again with the support of Tennis Victoria. The success of the Girls Program led to an ongoing Girls Squad being introduced at the Club. To Abbie, on behalf of the club, thank you for all that you do for us here at YGTC - you have helped make this an amazing place to be.

Thanks also to: All the Members who generously donated to the Christmas Hampers; Santa for once again making time for us in his busy schedule; Leah, who generously donated ice creams, helped Santa with the kids and brought along the water slide; Everyone that helped out either with the preparation, on the night and/or with the clean up - another great team effort. Have a great Christmas everyone.

17.01.2022 ++ MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK++ The AGM for the YGTC is being held on the 10th November 2020 and nominations for the Committe close at 5:00 pm on 9th November 2020. See Events for the Details. There are a number of Committee members who are not seeking re-election and/or looking to reduce their roles for various personal reasons, so we are keen to hear from anyone who would be interested in a role at the Club - big or small.... There are heaps of options including, taking on one of the Office Bearer roles, assisting one of the Office Bearers (i.e. Assistant Treasurer), joining a focused Sub-Committee (i.e. Fundraising or Maintenance etc), assisting with one off projects or taking on a small routine task on a regular basis. We are confident we have the perfect role to suit individual interests, time restrictions, age and skill levels. We are also keen to have some new faces with fresh ideas. If you have any interest, please PM us or contact Scheryl on 0417 528 704.
