20.01.2022 The toys aren’t quite socially distant yet but they will be when we re-open this Saturday from 9.30 - 11 am! We are really looking forward to seeing you back at the Yarra Glen Toy Library. There will be a few changes to make it Covid-Safe but the objective is the same... fun, educational toys with the families in our community. Can’t wait to see you!

15.01.2022 Check the kid’s school and kinder bags for any of these particular certificates floating around. You can still redeem them during May. We are open every Saturday this month from 9.30 - 11am and on Thursday 13 May from 4-7pm. Come on down, take a look, have a play and maybe join up.

Name: Theresa In addition to being an awesome parent/caregiver: I am a Registered Nurse and work in an operating theatre part time, I am also the Coordinator for the Yarra Glen Toy Library, and I love coffee and chocolate. Children: Max, 4 years old Membership: 3 years... How did you find out about the Toy Library? I learned about the Toy Library through the MCHN, but I joined the Library during children’s week after I saw the variety they had to offer! Why do you keep coming back? The variety of toys is amazing, and it has been a great way to meet other parents and share similar ideas, concerns and just generally have a great time hanging out at the library. Fun and friendship! What surprised you? Definitely the variety of toys, but also that it’s a regular outing with Max with a positive experience for him to go and choose what toys interest him, and borrow toys which can give him a challenge as he learns and grows. What would you change? I would love a dedicated space where the toys could be on display all the time, where the families within the community know where the Toy Library is and what it’s about and are able to visit often to enjoy the benefits that the Toy Library has to offer. 11.01.2022 We are excited to let you know that Santa will be visiting the folk of Yarra Glen with the help of the Yarra Glen Fire Brigade. Listen out from about 5.30pm on ...Christmas Eve for the trucks traveling the streets. We will be following safe distancing guidelines and along with prepackaged lollies.
