25.01.2022 The Festival of Light has a new artistic director for 2016. Adam Graf and his team at Catfight Productions are going to lead us into an awesome festival. Start collecting lace and wool, and get ready to make some beautiful lanterns at the first workshop in July. If you are able to donate lace doillies or wool, please bring them to the Reading Room at the Memorial Hall.

25.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who came along to the lantern making workshop today. Some divine lanterns were created. Thanks also to all the volunteers who helped, to those who provided materials, and thanks everyone for the enthusiasm and great spirit.

24.01.2022 So even if it's raining we are going ahead with the Festival of Light. Bring a brolly and a raincoat, and dress warmly. If you arrive early there will be magical face paint, and a chance for children to enjoy the park. Fairy Kate will lead the parade from the glow tent as soon as darkness falls.

24.01.2022 Thanks to Festival director Adam Graf, from Catfight Production who made the event so beautiful. Thanks to beautiful harpist, singer, fairy Angel Shaula Salathe, thanks to the magical Jane Coleman on crystal bowls. Thanks to our two flute groups, who played magnificently, and to the Yarra Glen Children's Choir, who were gorgeous. Thanks also to the Yarra Glen singing group who sang prior to the parade, and to the buskers who enlivened and delighted the food truck area.

23.01.2022 And thats a wrap for the 2017 Yarra Glen Festival of Light! Thank You so much to all involved, we couldn't do it without the community spirit to get it over the line...... Here's to bigger and brighter years to follow.

07.01.2022 So the Festival of Light 2017 will be on August 5, at 5.30 pm or starting right on dusk. There will be a community lantern making workshop on Saturday July 15 from 1 til 4 pm. If you would like to volunteer to help plan the event, or just lend a hand on the night we will need a crew.

06.01.2022 Thanks to everyone involved in Yarra Glen's second Festival of Light. All the crew, volunteers, businesses who offered support, the Yarra Ranges Council, all the lantern makers, lantern carriers, and very special performers. Well done, what a journey!

01.01.2022 Come to the Glow tent first, and pick up a free LED to light your lantern. Yarra Glen Men's Shed volunteers will be on hand to make any necessary lantern adjustments or repairs.
