24.01.2022 Were excited (and very, very relieved) with the announcement today in regards to the re-opening of regional hospitality venues. We are currently considering what these new regulations will look like for our customers, staff and business. ... It is important to be aware that the government has placed tough restrictions on us and some (many) of these details are yet to be finalised. What we know so far: Hotels will need to have a COVIDSafe plan implemented by September 28; We must implement digital contact tracing protocols; Social distancing and mask protocols apply; There will be a 2 hour dwell time for patrons; Patrons must be seated (no vertical drinking); Groups will be limited to 10, and tables must be 1.5 metres apart; The best parts are: Customers can consume beverages without having to order a meal; We will be permitted to have 20 people inside (10 people per room in a maximum of 2 rooms); We will be permitted to have up to 50 people in the beer garden! Woohoo Keep an eye on our socials for our reopening date and the commencement of bookings. Thank you all for your patience and support - we really do appreciate it. We cant wait to see and serve everyone soon!

22.01.2022 After the announcement, (or lack thereof), from Daniel Andrews yesterday, Yarragon Hotel will remain at take-away and delivery only until Regional Victoria enters Step 3. This will occur when: daily average number of cases in the last 14 days in Regional Victoria is less than 5 ... there are less than 0 cases in Regional Victoria with an unknown source in the last 14 days In Step 3 we would then be permitted to trade for predominately outdoor seated service only... At this stage we are unsure how we would manage outdoor dining given the announcements have no detail as to the conditions that would be imposed on us. We will stay informed through our industry body AHA Vic and try to digest the details once they are published. It is unlikely we will be permitted to have customers for inside, seated dining until 23 November. We are really disappointed with this outcome and just want to thank our staff, customers and local community who have been working so hard to do the right thing. As Ernie says

There are least 60 stalls including one of our faves Craftbychloeb ... It's a great opportunity to buy Christmas gifts from the makers and growers. Be sure to cross the road and support our little shops including Shoe-a-Licious, Wardrobe in the Lane, Keith’s Sister, Nickelby's (was Campbell Street Emporium) and Wardrobe in the Lane. 10.01.2022 Its coming up for Fathers Day so I thought this would be a good Throwback Thursday. This house has always been 50/50 (for everything but paperwork ). This one was taken on our first night open. We worked from 6am to 1am each day to get the pub ready when we took over. My mum was chief babysitter and would bring the kids over so we could see them for dinner and then take them home again. ... Our first night I was on work duty and Chris on kids duty. I remember putting our second and final keg on at 8.30pm that night (we only opened at 4pm) and worrying that wed run out of beer! Those were the days -Renee #tbt
