25.01.2022 With the ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19, we will be limiting the amount of people in our building, therefore we will now be locking our clinic door. 10.01.2022 With the growing number of cases of COVID-19 in Australia, we are facing the prospect of catastrophic conditions as seen in Italy and other countries where the health systems have been overwhelmed. We need to "flatten the curve" of infections so our hospitals are able to cope with the wave of illness that is coming. The doctors and staff at Yarragon Medical encourage everybody to play their part in reducing the spread of the virus by social distancing- that means staying home... and avoiding contact with other people as much as possible, even if you are feeling well and have no specific risks like international travel. Our clinic will remain open and we will do as many consultations by telehealth as possible to avoid unnecessary mixing of people. If you have respiratory symptoms- fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath please do not come into the clinic. Ring us or the national hotline (1800 020 080) for advice. As things evolve we will further adapt our responses and let people know. One benefit- we hope Dr Stuti Tandon will be available for telehealth consultations while she is still on maternity leave. 08.01.2022 We'd like to say thank you to all who have been understanding with all the changes we have made at the clinic lately. Yes we're still open, continuing to provide medical care while protecting our staff and patients. The important ways you can help in this are: - continue to use hot doc to book appointments. These are for telephone/video consultations only for now. - please ring for appointments rather than walk in. Be patient with the phone line as it has been very busy, we h...ave had reduced staff and each call takes longer with the extra screening we have to do. - stand behind the perspex screen when at reception. It's there to protect you and our reception staff. - if you have had overseas travel, cough, fever, sore throat, congested or runny nose, loss of the sense of smell, aches and pains or have had contact with someone with COVID-19, please call us! Don't come in unless your doctor arranges it with you. - If you haven't yet arranged to have your fluvax please consider doing this sooner than later by ringing for an appointment. Stay safe everyone!

04.01.2022 There’s been a couple of changes at Yarragon Medical Centre over the past couple of weeks. We farewelled Dr Iftah Amith who has completed his registrar training, and we wish him all the very best for the future ahead. We have welcomed this Semesters Monash Uni student Mr Daniel Chang, and also our new GP registrar Dr Anika Nihill. Dr Nihill is available for appointments Monday’s, Tuesday’s & Friday’s.

04.01.2022 Thank you to everyone whom have shown interest in our Medical Receptionist position. Applications have now closed. We have received an overwhelming amount of resumes emailed through to us, so please bear with us as we make our way through them all. We will make contact with successful applicants very shortly.

04.01.2022 Due to further concerns regarding COVID-19, Yarragon Medical Centre now requires patients to wear masks before entry into our clinic. If you have your own mask, please do wear it as our disposable supplies are getting low. Please note children under the age of 12 and patients with preexisting severe breathing difficulties are not required to wear masks. We are still keeping our front door locked and it will be opened by our reception staff. In regards to "face to face" appoi...ntments, our GP's will call you when it is your allocated appointment time and ask you some screening questions. Please have your mobile phone with you and turned on. If you do not have a mobile phone, please come to the front door to let reception know you are here. You will need to wait outside the clinic until the GP is ready for you. We are encouraging Telehealth appointments. These are not always bulkbilled and may have an out of pocket cost - please note in order to satisfy Medicares requirements for a rebate and to qualify for Telehealth, you must have had a face to face appointment at our clinic in the last 12 months. Please call the clinic before arriving for pick up of any paperwork from reception. Our receptionists will meet you at the door with your items. Safety of our patients and our staff is paramount. If you have any symptoms of cold and flu including cough, fever, runny nose, sore throat, shortness of breath, or have had contact with a known COVID-19 positive or suspected person we will require you to have a telephone consultation. If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, we encourage you to book an appointment at the Warragul Respiratory Clinic. This can be done online on the below link, or by calling 5642 6666. We thank you for your patience and understanding during these challenging times. https://www.hotdoc.com.au//warragul-respiratory-cl/doctors
