19.01.2022 Our first bush playgroup for the year was lots of fun. The weather really performed providing some great puddles and staying at a comfortable drizzle, then in perfect Melbourne style, the sun came out! There was lots of splashing in puddles, rock hopping, cooking grass soup for baby rock wallabies and rolling things down the hill.

17.01.2022 Hi Bush Playgroupers! Just a note to let you know that next Thursday 29th August the Yarralea 3 year olds will be starting their Bush Kinder program. Therefore, unfortunately the Darebin Parklands space will be unavailable for playgroup. The good news is that Bush Playgroup will occur in the rear Yarralea garden! Whos keen??!! This is a good opportunity to get to know the space at Yarralea. The only downside will be that if bush kinder is cancelled due to extreme weather the children will have to attend at Yarralea and bush playgroup will be cancelled via the facebook page. But hopefully that doesnt happen too much!

07.01.2022 Hi everyone. We are looking forward to getting back into playgroup in March. We are currently looking for a parent or two to help facilitate the group. This would involve taking the bush playgroup bag with sign in sheets and wet weather gear etc to and from playgroup, welcoming people and letting them know how to register through playgroup Victoria. If you are interested in helping please let us know. Thanks

04.01.2022 RISKY PLAY FOR CHILDREN: WHY WE SHOULD LET KIDS GO OUTSIDE AND THEN GET OUT OF THE WAY. "Mariana Brussoni, a professor at the University of British Columbia... and BC Childrens Hospital featured in The Nature of Things documentary The Power of Play has spent years researching the benefits of play that have an element of risk. Risky play for children, she explains, is thrilling and exciting play where children engage in risk without certainty, and it has been proven to have immense benefits." https://www.cbc.ca//risky-play-for-children-why-we-should- See more

01.01.2022 Great cubby building this week using lots of sticks and rocks for seats! Cubby building involves lots of problem solving, working together, fine and gross motor skills and stimulates dramatic play. And is fun!!
