22.01.2022 Hi guys Within the coming weeks I plan on starting my video series. These videos will range from show ring presentation for Western events, led versatility training and showmanship training for both horse and handler. I hope these will be insightful for many people who are wanting to be involved in showing horses or for people wanting too strengthen the bond between them and there horse. Stay tuned! Thankyou

21.01.2022 Here at Yarraman Western Performance Horses we have been very busy, preparing Denver (Melane Look Who's Talking) for the Western Spectacular Show in a couple of weeks. 14.01.2022 Did some banding today for a show we are heading off too tommorrow. Love using these nags to riches products! Today I used: - NTR bands in white - NTR mane wax - NTR mane clips... - NTR thinning scissors - NTR trimming scissors All these products worked very well, with my favourite being the bands (not one snapped!) The mane wax smells so nice and smooths down the mane very well. The clips I have never used before and they worked beautifully for holding back the mane, it's also nice that they have grips so your wax covered hands can still grip them too move them over. I always love using NTR's scissors as the are just so sharp and easy to use. Very impressed, can't wait to use the Whispaway tommorrow if Denver's mane has any fly always. 11.01.2022 Hi I'm Brooke, the owner and trainer at Yarraman Western Performance Horses. I just wanted to take this time to introduce myself, to share with you my goal and passions. Throughout my life I've always loved animals especially horses and cattle. It was always my dream to show my own horse, but my first experience in the show scene wasn't horse related but cattle. I spent a number of years training and showing led steers, in which I had great success in the handler classes at a... variety of shows. Competing in the cattle ring definitely encouraged me and gave me the confidence to start showing horses. I have always admired the coloration, beauty and versatility of the Appaloosa and Paint Horse, hence why I own both breeds. I started off showing my Appaloosa Gelding Griffin and he sparked my love for led versatility. A Quarter Horse named Rolley continue this love and allowed me to achieve much more then I ever hoped, with the main achievement being Reserve Australia Champion Quarter Horse High Point led Trail. This was completely under my training and guidance. Proud is an understatement! During 2018 I bought a Paint Gelding who is currently in prep for yearling led versatility classes, he has shown a tremendous about of willingness and skill for these events and I'm so excited to see what the future holds for us. My personal goal is to help others achieve their dreams whether that's in showing, ground training or basic liberty training. I want to help encourage people to follow their dreams no matter how big or small, this is why I created Yarraman Western Performance Horses. See more

04.01.2022 Denver's (Melane Look Who's Talking) results from the Western Spectacular Double Judge Show last weekend: Yearling hunter in hand - 1st and 2nd Open showmanship - 5th and 5th Senior youth showmanship - 4th and 5th Paint Halter gelding - 1st and 1st ... Champion paint gelding under both judges! Yearling versatility halter - 2nd and 2nd Yearling lunge line - 3rd and 3rd Yearling led trail - 1st and 1st And to top off the day reserve high point yearling! It was a great day with many competitor numbers! Thanks Chelsea Paige Harper for coming down and giving Denver a physiokey session, he loved it and I highly recommend her, Denver can't wait for the next one! I couldn't be anymore proud of my boy's performance even tho he was so tired he still behaved exceptionally well and did exactly what I asked It was lovely to catch up with friends and to meet new people. 02.01.2022 It was bath day today in preparation for the Western Spectacular Show next weekend. I prefer to bath my horses a week before a show, concentrating on getting the body, mane and tail clean. I will then clean the legs and face the day before with making sure the body is still clean, if not I will spot bath. This saves time the day before the show to concentrate on banding and trimming, it also helps the coat to lay smooth and flat. I used some Hi Shine Equine products today whi...ch included: - Hi Shine Equine Hot Oil and Coat Conditioner - Hi Shine Equine Intensify Hair Treatment Mask The Hot Oil is a personal favorite of mine, it leaves the coat so smooth, shiny and it also helps to improves the coats overall health! It was my first time trying out the Intensify Hair Treatment Mask and I'm impressed! Denver's mane and tail has been very dry and brittle lately and with one use of this mask it has left his hair smooth, packed with moisture and it smells great, can't wait to make this mask a regular step in my show prep.
