24.01.2022 This time last year...

21.01.2022 The powers to be at CFA District 13 have officially shut down Yarra Valley Chrome Bumpers due to the on going issues within the organisation. They can't solve their own internal issues and way they are treating long serving members at the Lilydale Brigade I'm really happy to just walk away. I would like to thank all the people who have supported the event over the past 7 years. Regards Scottie

20.01.2022 3 years today we lost our little mate, gone but never forgotten. RIP Jeffrey Morrall

16.01.2022 Please support those who have supported us

16.01.2022 People are asking me why the CFA shut down our events, well the truth is because Operations Manager David Renkin at District 13 didn’t like me publicly supporting 3 long serving members of the Lilydale Brigade who have been stood down for over 2 years and since been totally cleared by IBAC. So instead of dealing with the issue they thought they could silence me by preventing any brigade from running our event. There’s a 4th person who has been deeply affected by all this both... mentally and financially and that’s one of my family members. So I stood up for justice and the big boys shut down a family event. Just go back a couple of years the same powers to be wouldn’t let brigade members wear CFA overalls to our event and refused to allow a CFA truck to bring Santa to our event. The sooner there’s a Royal Commission in to the running of the CFA the better. See more

15.01.2022 Good news the 3 suspended members of the Lilydale Brigade Frank, Warren and Steve have all been cleared of any wrong doing and all the charges have been dropped, the Chief Officer will be making a public apology soon. These 3 members were charged and investigated by both the CFA and IBAC over the past 3 years costing us tax payers 10's of 1000's of dollars. The CFA also shut down our community monthly event all because I was seen to be out spoken regarding the way the Region 13 officers had treated these 3 members. As the founder of YVCB I would be more than happy to work with the Lilydale Brigade once again with our events, but not under the present leadership of the Lilydale Brigade.

07.01.2022 Sad news I found out that my good friend for over 50 years Ross Kerslake passed away on the 29th September. Ross started as a school teacher at Lilydale Primary School for many years. Ross was a crazy Vanguard collector from the age of 15yo who ended up turning his hobby into Australia's largest supplier of Vanguard, Standard & Triumph spare parts distributor. Ross will be deeply missed for his passion and knowledge. 'RIP' Ross Kerslake
