21.01.2022 If we were to create a 24 hour food and wine itinerary it might look like this....... On your way to Healesville stop for lunch at Meletos at Stones winery. Neil Cunningham the chef has created an excellent seasonal menu in a beautiful setting. After lunch make sure you drop in to Coombe Farm they have an excellent Chardonnay and Yering Farm and try their Pinot noir. If you have time stop in at the Dairy just down the road from Yering Farm and of course Yering Station is ju...st around the corner. Then arrive at the house and settle in. Before dinner have a pre dinner drink at Graceburn wine room on Green street (500 meters from the property). Mack the wine maker is a good friend of ours and is getting some excellent reviews internationally. On your way to dinner drop in to the wine store Barrique. For dinner the Healesville Hotel is your best bet and it has the most extensive wine list for 50 km. They are passionate about their wine and they will guide you in any direction you like. We suggest you book a table in the dining room, but if you want to be a little more relaxed setting and meal you can sit in the front rooms or in the garden out the back. You can also try Innocent Bystander (called IB's by the locals) the food is excellent with a great range of in house wines. These are the most popular options within walking distance from the property. If you are going our for breakfast the best coffee/food will be Refreshments at the Old Train Station, Harvest right next to the Healesville Hotel or Innocent bystander. If you have breakfast at IB's taste some of the wine and head to the Green room at Chandon or Eleonore's Restaurant at Yering Station for lunch.
