Those observation skills you've developed from years on a motorbike will serve you well in a car too. That combined with a great attitude to driving will make you a good, co-operative and safe driver.

25.01.2022 Due to the directive given by the state government, I must insist on face masks being worn on all lessons. I have a limited supply available for $2 each if you are unable to get one, or you can supply your own. If you need to purchase one please have the correct change or pay by card with the cost of the lesson. I have also been insisting on the use of hand sanitiser before getting in the car and have been using disinfectant wipes on commonly touched areas after each les...son, which I will continue to do. We must all do our part to ensure we get on top of this COVID-19 spike. We dont want a break out of it occurring with driving lessons as it would probably mean the end of being allowed to do them. We are lucky we still can. I also want to take all possible precautions to ensure it is not transmitted via my business for the benefit of my clients, myself and our families. 23.01.2022 Due to stage 4 lockdown I am currently cancelling standard driving lessons. Vicroads is continuing with tests that have approved exemptions for undue hardship, but i am still waiting on clarification on what I can do to help people prepare for these tests. I am able to go and have my car used for test, but even Vicroads couldnt yet confirm exactly what I can do for test preparation. I am really hoping they make an announcement to clarify this situation soon. Once they make a decision, it could change the restrictions on what i am able (or not able) to do. I am currently trying to contact everyone directly affected. If you have any concerns or questions, please dont hesitate to contact me, but at this present moment I am waiting on clarification too. I will post any helpful information I get. I hope everyone is doing ok.

21.01.2022 LILYDALE - RAILWAY CROSSING REMOVAL PROJECT The level crossings at Maroondah Highway, Lilydale and Manchester Road, Mooroolbark are being removed by building ...rail bridges over the road. Two new elevated stations will be built at Lilydale and Mooroolbark as part of the project. A new multi-deck car park will also be built at Mooroolbark Station, which will contribute to doubling car parking to 900 spaces, making it easier for commuters to find a park. More than 53,000 vehicles travel through these level crossings each day where the boom gates can be down for up to a quarter of the morning peak. There have been 13 crashes in the past 10 years, resulting in one fatal incident. Early works started in May 2020, with major construction to begin in late 2020. Both level crossings will be gone in 2022. For regular information about the progress of this project, sign up for email updates. CURRENT DISRUPTIONS WILLIAM ST - LILYDALE Car Park Closures The four-hour timed parking on William Street East and the informal parking on William Street West (both adjacent to the rail line) will be permanently removed from early August 2020. Between 7pm Friday 14 August and 5am Monday 17 August, William Street East and William Street West will be closed between Maroondah Highway and John Street. LILYDALE LINE BUSES - Buses Replace Trains Buses replace trains on the Lilydale line from 9pm Friday 14 August to last service on Sunday 16 August 2020. 20.01.2022 I have just had a student get told by Vicroads that they are expecting new tests to start back in the next few weeks. He was advised to keep checking the Vicroads website for bookings from as early as next week as they have caught up on the backlog extremely quick. Great news!!

19.01.2022 Great drive today Connor! Congratulations on getting your licence. The Ringwood test course had some challenging moments, but you handled it so well. Had a truck failing to give way and even an ambulance racing passed with sirens going and reacted so well to it all. Another near perfect run! (3 tests this week and barely a mistake between them!) I know a lot of people have been waiting for it to add those hours that didnt go through for whatever reason. This will be a great help for some people. 18.01.2022 DHHS has changed their mind again! I am now allowed to do driving lessons! They have just recently updated their website. All cancellations stand and i will start taking new bookings for next week. I am about to start calling everyone again. If you want to book or have questions, please contact me. If you were cancelled, sit tight, I am calling you. Calls would be preferred for the moment as I have a lot to organise, so dont really have time to go back and forth with text messages. If you dont get me, Im probably already on the phone so leave a message. I know its frustrating and I apologise, but I can only go off what these government departments tell me. 15.01.2022 We are back in lock down! I must close for typical driving lessons during this period. I can however still help with essential tests that have an approved exemption. For these I can help with test preparation lessons and the actual test too. If you would like assistance for an essential test, please call or message me. 14.01.2022 There is still no clear directive in regards to lessons for those who have approved exemption tests. I will have to keep monitoring the situation day by day and react accordingly. I will contact those directly affected, but with it being day by day, it wont be till the day before your booking. When something definite is announced, Ill let everyone affected know asap. While there is no official approval for lessons, I will have no choice but to continue with doing tests only... - no lessons or pre-test lesson. (Lessons without the approved exemption test are definitely off the table, so will have to wait till we are out of stage 4 lockdown.) These government bodies need to hurry up and clarify the matter for all of us instructors and for those trying to prepare for a test. Until they do, I cannot risk the fine for myself or for my students. I dont think anyone would be impressed if their kid came home with a fine after a driving lesson with me, so its a risk Im not willing to take and not one I can afford. I have my fingers crossed that we find out soon, it has been too long. With all this uncertainty around lessons, it may be time to think about how ready you are for a test. I am happy to take people on the test, but if Im not able to prepare you for it, its up to you whether you want to take the chance and sit it. I personally think its tough without the proper preparation. I know the situation isnt fair, but I unfortunately dont get a say and am just trying to deal with it as best I can. I appologise for the lack of clarity, but Im doing everything i can, spending most of my days chasing information. If Im not given any clear information, then i cant provide any either. 09.01.2022 DHHS website was updated last night. No driving lessons are allowed. I will have to cancel all lessons booked as preparation for exemption tests, they cannot be done. This would include the lesson before the actual test. Im not exactly sure of the implication on the hardship exemption tests. I will have to wait till tomorrow to see what Vicroads response is. My guess is that the they will still go ahead, but it is a possibility that they get cancelled as well. Assuming they... go ahead I will only be able to do tests. There is also the possibility that Vicroads continues with these tests, but goes back to using Vicroads cars, which would remove me from the process totally. I will provide an update when I know how Vicroads responds. I will begin contacting everyone with tests booked this afternoon. Hope everyone is having a relaxing and enjoyable weekend. See more

I am hoping by this stage, that Vicroads has announced their decision on tests and that DHHS has clarified whether driving lessons are allowed beyond Wed. I will post any new information I get. 09.01.2022 Wishing you all a great Christmas and New Years! Bring on 2021! Looking forward to a big year and to getting a whole lot more of you on the road! I am taking time off starting today for Christmas and New Years. I will be back at it on the 13th Jan. I will still respond to messages, etc over the break, but I am on holidays so it may take a little bit longer to reply than normal. If I don't get back to you later that day, I will try and make sure I do so by the following mo...rning to answer queries and tend to bookings. Availability is booking up fast for the new year. I have a heap of tests and lessons already booked through Jan & Feb and have even began booking March. If you are after a booking, please don't leave it too late or you may not be able to get a suitable time or possibly any time at all. I recommend thinking ahead and sorting it out asap, especially those that require lessons to prepare for a test. Take care on the roads during the silly season. Allow plenty of time for travel so you can be patient and keep yourselves safe. Don't take any unnecessary risks! I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
