22.01.2022 What a hectic day but gee I am so lucky to meet the people I meet and go the places I go. I went to many fabulous establishments including #balgownieestate, #zonzoestate, #meletos, #fourpillarsgin and #sevilleestate but I also loved going to Gladysdale and having a fun chat to a lovely local family about my family’s history in this small town. I even had a trip to Don Valley where I was lucky enough to hear stories about a local family who owned the land (before my passenger...s) for many years with their siblings and had some really beautiful beliefs. I had all kinds of passengers from a general manager of a huge wholesale flower company in Monbulk and her friend who sold wholesale flowers to my favourite florist in the city #thriveflowers (how small is this world). To driving a hypnotherapist, GP, local tree farmer, a VFL employee (back in the day), the grandson of a Carlton FB team of the century player, and a lawyer who grew up going to the same school as the amazing #guysebastian! 22.01.2022 Wow what a day! I had to pinch myself after the last transfer because I still can’t believe the amazing people I am lucky enough to meet doing my job! My two favourite Yarra Valley accommodations #balgownieestate and #chateauyeringhotel have both out done themselves with the guests they have staying with them this weekend! I was super excited to drive my second crew member from #foxfooty/ #foxsportsaus. He is the guy who does the effects in the lab on fox footy! I had so m...any questions and I loved learning about my favourite channel. Then just as I was feeling all chuffed about who I had met I end my night transferring.... wait for it... the CEO of #telstra! I couldn’t believe it, I was having a chat with him and his wife for ages before realising. They were both such lovely down to earth people and I still can’t believe how genuine they were. We were chatting about everything from Footy to the fact that we both have extremely smart Bordoodles It was nice to visit many wonderful places in the Valley today including #levantinehill, #wattsriverbrewing, #graceburnwineroom and #herdbar and as usual I still had the best passengers ever! P.S. It was devastating to hear about and see the effects of the fire at Balgownie Estate this week. It hasn’t been a good year for the tourism industry and this is another awful blow to such a great Yarra Valley establishment. To no surprise they have conducted themselves amazingly and are still running their accomodation to the highest standard as usual.

21.01.2022 I was lucky enough to transport a generational local from Millgrove to Hallam to pick up her bosses Pilot Vehicle after getting its new signage! Her grandparents owned the first ever bakery in Warburton. She was telling me about how her nan had to get a drivers license when they moved from using a horse and cart to a vehicle. I love hearing wonderful stories about the history in the Yarra Valley. It’s so nice to know this family is still living near Warburton and keeping their history and stories alive for us to learn about! #yarravalleyhistory #warburton

17.01.2022 My mum and Uncle has their annual winery meet to celebrate the life of their mum. Unfortunately this year I wasn’t able to join them but I was lucky enough to be able to meet them out for lunch. They wanted to visit somewhere with a homey and personal feel that had fabulous food, so of course we went to the #yarravalleyrestaurant! We all loved our meals, although there was one thing my Uncle was devastated about... that he hadn’t been there before! We spent most of lunch dis...cussing their favourite wineries from last years trip #yileenapark and #pimpernelvineyards. We then heard lots of stories about #yeringberg and my Uncle’s love for this historical and delicious wine. They visited #puntrdwines, #yeringstation and #mandalawinesyv today and really enjoyed themselves. After having such a wonderful lunch at the #yarravalleyrestaurantandcourtyard I headed down to pick up a regular lovely local from the Airport. He works interstate with a very cautious and thorough company who have done a great job keeping their staff safe through this difficult time. See more

14.01.2022 What better way to spend World Gin Day than with a lovely couple who celebrate their wedding anniversary at #balgownieestate every year! We started with a special lunch at #divino#ristorante where they ended up accidentally buying a case of #mandalawinesyv wine. We then headed to #fourpillarsgin where they absolutely loved their experience! They once again came back with boxes full of goodies and a huge smile, we then popped past the local shops before heading back to Balgownie Estate where they couldn’t wait to enjoy the spa in their room Ending my day again at picturesque #sevilleestate with some locals heading out for dinner.

11.01.2022 It’s a small world... I’ve spent most of my week in and out of hospitals with my mum who underwent urgent surgery, whilst my grandpa finally lost his very determined battle and is at peace. Whilst visiting both family members I remember thinking how bloody amazing the technology was with their beds. Well today I spent most of my day with a lovely lady who works for the company that makes these exact beds! She was staying at #brentwoodbnb that has the most beautiful views and ...plants, if this wasn’t enough of a sign with my grandpa being a landscape gardener and owning multiple nurseries. My passenger and her husband were both mad Collingwood supporters too! Couldn’t have spent my day with two nicer passengers. They enjoyed their tasting at #chandonaus and lunch at #coombeyarravalley. I finished my night off with multiple happy guests staying at the fabulous historical #chateauyeringhotel. They all enjoyed dining out at #meletos and #rochfordwines restaurants. I do find life usually finds its way to work in full circles. One of the first memories I have with my grandpa is sneaking outside at 5:30am to help him feed the horses. While mum was recovering in hospital I had to feed all the horses on the property for the first time in years. It was the first thing I did after grandpas passing.

10.01.2022 Had my first post COVID-19 Tour with the most beautiful couple and their 5 month old staying at the stunning #sevilleestate! The views from their cellar door and restaurant are spectacular, but so are the views from the beautiful vineyard appartments! We started off at #giantstepswine which I always enjoy because of all fun facts about the wonderful founder of this company and his great accomplishments in the industry, oh and because I am lucky enough to live right near their... Gruyere vineyard. We then popped past #paytenandjones and grabbed a bottle of wine before having a tasting at #dominiqueportet. We had a bit of time to squeeze in an extra tasting so of course I picked #helenandjoeyestate before we had our last stop at #medhurstwines. They loved all the wineries from the views, the staff and of course the wine! I dropped them back of at Seville Estate to enjoy a very yummy meal with the best views in town. Of course we had a good chat about #phillipjohnsonlandscapes and the wonderful water feature they walked past at Seville Estate! 07.01.2022 It’s good to be back! I had a lovely memorable returning customer book in for a lunch transfer to and from #meletos for today a few weeks ago. She was right on top of the restrictions lifting and knew exactly where she wanted to visited! I appreciated that I was her transport option while visiting the Yarra Valley again. Then I’m spending the night driving a local couple from Wesburn to Healesville for what I think is a romantic dinner. I was excited to receive emails and m...essages from #balgownieestate, #chateauyeringhotel and #yileenapark about there reopening this week. Please make sure if you are coming to the Yarra Valley to prebook and visit these wonderful businesses who support us locals. Unfortunately my Grandfather has been very unwell over the past 2 months and was meant to pass away earlier this week as he is officially at end of life. Thankfully he is still here but due to the situation I am unable to be on call. All transfers will need to be pre-booked. My apologies for this inconvenience. All transfers booked in from today onward until further notice will unfortunately be a maximum of 5 passengers. This is to avoid anyone sitting next to the driver (me) and therefore hopefully avoiding the spread COVID-19 with my other passengers. I will of course be cleaning the vehicle between each transfer. 05.01.2022 Covid-19 Business Update I am honouring all booked transfers through the Covid-19 pandemic. It has been a bitter sweet time as I have been unable to take on any new bookings over the past few weeks and won’t be able to until further notice for my own personal health. Of course with the tourism and hospitality industry taking a huge hit in the Yarra Valley it has impacted my business like many other small businesses, so the bookings have been very few with most self isolating.... The COVID-19 virus is still so new and there are still many unknowns. There is very little research or information on it. I have been advised by my Specialist to take extra precautions through this time until there is more research and information available for my personal situation. My apologies for this inconvenience. 03.01.2022 There is no better review for an accomodation than tonight’s transfer with guests who are staying at #balgownieestate. They decided to stay an extra night because they have enjoyed their stay that much! They were raving about their amazing lunch today at #zonzoestate and then enjoyed dining at #meletos for dinner, whilst enjoying the local #tarrawarra wine. I always love learning new facts from my passengers, especially when it’s about dogs, mans best friend. They had a dog... who’s breed is famous for duck hunting with the royals. I then found out this breed has webbed feet to help them swim better. I was so excited I googled other breeds who also have webbed feet and was excited to find out #goldenretrievers, #daschunds and #poodles all have this in common! I have three dogs and each dog has one of the above breeds in their mix. So when I got home I chased my dogs around the house inspecting their feet to be very disappointed that none of them have webbed feet See more

02.01.2022 Took a lovely couple staying at the beautiful #balgownieestate just down the road to the #yarravalleygrandhotel for dinner. They loved their dinner and after getting to know them in the short transfers we had together I knew exactly which winery to recommend for them to visit tomorrow... #yileenapark! They were excited about the aged wines, smoked products and fabulous donkeys #poppyandfreckles but they were the most excited to know that they would have the opportunity to mee...t and talk to the owners of the winery. One of the many reasons I love my job is because of the amazing boutique wineries we have at our doorstep It was a bonus one passenger was a #collingwoodfc supporter and her partner a very passionate #melbournefc. We had a great chat about footy from missing the #queensbirthdaygame this year, to feeling devastated about one of the best players to watch take a screamer in the whole #afl (and who played for both clubs) get a season ending injury. 01.01.2022 Spent the day with a lovely local couple enjoying their last day together at #levantinehill before school holidays start. It was really lovely to see two hard working career focused and hands on parents take some time out for themselves. It was a bonus that one of them was a mad #afl fan and #collingwoodfc supporter! I’m still pinching myself after not only getting to meeting the CEO of #telstra yesterday but also the fact that him and his wife were so down to earth. We shared photos of our #bordoodles with each other and talked about tv shows and Footy. I loved how genuine and down to earth they both were.
