Chef Soren Thogersen has compiled some terrific pairings for you below. The 2018 Seville Estate Chardonnay retails at $40 Tasting notes The wine is pale yellow with a clear hue. Fine aromas of white flowers and stone fruits encased with a flinty lee’s reduction. The palate is focused and pure with bright melon fruits, sweet spice and a toasted almon...d oak complexity. The acidity is fine with a lime sorbet-like flavour. An elegant and focused style that will age gracefully. Enjoy it with Seville Estate's Chicken Cauliflower Parfait. 2018 Seville Estate Pinot Noir retails at $40 Tasting notes Light rose red with a slight clear hue. Beautifully lifted and perfumed showing spice and sweet reds fruits. The palate is balanced and well-integrated with the fine tannins, savoury whole bunch characters and juicy fruits. A supple and delicious Pinot that has great acidity, length and fineness. Fret not - for our Italian friends at @soumahwines are helping us enjoy a summer... in a glass on our sofa! If you receive one of these fine blends in your Shortest Lunch at Home pack- take note of these perfect pairings. ... 2019 TUTTO BIANCO D’SOUMAH $25.00 Crisp and refreshing, this dry white follows the Italian tradition of blending all varieties from the vineyard into one multifaceted and complete wine. As the acronym on the front label suggests, this is a blend of our Savagnin, Chardonnay, Viognier and Pinot Grigio. We blend these in varying quantities, ensuring the wine is the complete package of fruit and balanced acidity. It is a wine from our hills and speaks of the land on which it is grown. Pair with pan-fried scallops served with salsa verde, crisp pancetta and lemon. 2018 NEBBIOLO BARBERA D’SOUMAH $28.00 The classic pairing of two noble northwestern Italian varieties combines here to create a savoury, elegant red wine with soft fruit and charming length. The Nebbiolo brings excellent tannin structure and finesse with aromas of wild herbs and violets, while the Barbera compliments with ripe, red berry flavours and velvety mouthfeel. With a newly expanded restaurant, you will want to check out this delightful winery for yourself when you next visit the Valley. They have given us their menu-inspired recommendations to create your own at-home experience! 2018 Chardonnay 'Shantell Vineyard'... Fermented in seasoned oak (20% new) with wild yeast. Notes of citrus and stone fruit, soft with a refined length. Un-fined and un-filtered. Pairs with Goan spiced chicken, parsnip mash and warrigal greens (our mouths are watering!) 2018 Pinot Noir Fermented in varying ages of French oak barriques and hogsheads. 20% whole bunch.
