25.01.2022 #Repost @happy_chiro with @get.repost When it comes to musculoskeletal injuries or pain, many people can be unsure if they should apply ice or a heat pack to facilitate a healing process. In general:... - Ice should be applied to a fresh or acute musculoskeletal injury (sprain/strain) for 10-15 minutes on and off to reduce swelling and inflammation. This can be done over the course of 72 hours. - Heat Should be applied to stiff muscles and joints to improve blood flow to those areas before exercise or 1-2 days after exercise if muscle soreness sets in. Heat helps to relax the muscles and improve joint range of motion. See more

07.01.2022 #staysafe Update Regarding Victoria's 7-Day Lockdown - 27 May 2021 Authorised Health Services Authorised allied health services include:... allied health professionals working in private practice providing essential clinical care where telehealth services are not clinically appropriate; or allied health services provided by allied health professionals working in private practice providing care through telehealth and other virtual care options; What does this mean for Chiropractic & Acupuncture? Chiropractor & Acupuncture practitioners are able to provide essential clinical care where telehealth services are not clinically appropriate. The Department of Health has clarified the difference between essential clinical care and routine care. to prevent a significant change/deterioration in functional independence which would result in an escalation of care needs to provide assessment and diagnostic services to clients / patients whose care have been delayed as a result of previous restrictions, with any further delay likely to result in deterioration in functional independence or adverse health outcomes All chiropractic & acupuncture clients are advised that under this definition of essential clinical care, routine care is not permitted. The strict definition of ‘essential care’ means the majority of private practice patients should rescheduled until after the lockdown. Patients should be seen only if delaying their care for seven days will lead to significant deterioration of their health. What does this mean for Psychology? Psychology will be by telehealth, or by face-to-face (but only for urgent care where telehealth is not clinically appropriate) What does this mean for Remedial Massage & Naturopathy? At this stage both naturopathy, massage therapy, remedial massage therapy and myotherapy are not listed as authorised face to face health services that are permitted to treat during the lockdown. Naturopathy consults can be delivered via telehealth.

03.01.2022 We are planning on re-opening for normal routine care from Friday. Iron out those working from home lumps and bumps! #chiropractic #remedialmassage #acupuncture #preventionisbetterthancure #naturopath #psychology #covidsafe
