25.01.2022 Snowy Returns The dynamo goal sneak and grandson of the late Club President Charles Thomas Runnalls has put pen to paper for season 2021. Jacob played over 60 games in our 3rds from 2010 to 2013 averaging a goal a game. He played 11 senior games and 26 reserves games over the next two seasons before heading to the big smoke.... 02.01.2022 Coaching Appointments for AWJFL YFNC 2021: The YFNC are excited to be able to announce the coaching positions for the AWJFL season 2021. The Under 12’s will be under the capable hands of Brad Sneddon. Brad comes to us with some great experience with junior sport, being a dad of three active kids. Brad’s commitment to the skill development, inclusion and footy education while maintaining that footy needs to fun, made him an easy appointment. ... Brad will be supported in his role by Nathan Tresize who will bring terrific support and a world of knowledge to the Under 12’s. We look forward to supporting Brad in anyway possible and move into 2021 in the knowledge the youngest of our official pigeons are in great hands. Jason Tonna along with Noel Skehan take the lead as co coaches for the Under 14’s. After a false start to coaching what would have been the Under 12’s for 2020, Jason has made a terrific start with a lot of these boys. Along with Noel, they will carry on into 2021 with the same dedication to the core values of development, teaching and enjoyment, whilst at the same time extending the groups confidence and footy IQ from a one on one perspective and to the overall development as a group. Both these gentleman come to the role with outstanding credentials in coaching and youth support. Can’t wait to see the group progress in 2021. Our Under 16’s coach needs no introduction and it’s a pleasure to be able to announce Shane Forge as the head coach. Butch’s resume speaks for itself. With over 18 years coaching experience, this father of four brings vast energy and enthusiasm to a very important role. The development of our Under 16’s is seen as crucial, in not just a football aspect, but in the ongoing engagement of our youth in football and the love of the game. We feel privileged to have Shane take this role, with the view to work with the under 16 group for over a number of years. Overall we can say that the YFNC couldn’t be more pleased with the quality in the age groups coaching line up for season 2021. We would be surprised if there was a more impressive youth coaching panel anywhere. These coaches all carry the same core values to each role and will always put the wellbeing and development of their players first.
