Whilst the announcement today insinuated that indoor sport could resume, the guidelines state that it is still just for "non-contact" sport. 17.01.2022 GRAND FINAL WEEK YMBA That’s a wrap folks on the Autumn / Winter Comp ... and how great was it that we completed it all. Tonight we finished off the week with the U10 Girls GF.... It was a great night and all the girls have improved so much but there can only be one winner and tonight it was the Lakers, defeating Magic. Congratulations and also to show how even the comp was we had two MVPs and three RU MVPs!!! Thankyou again to everyone involved in umpiring and extra coaching sessions.

16.01.2022 YMBA Domestic Training will continue on for the next 2 weeks and then stop (with the exception of U10 Boys who had their last training last week). Please text age group managers to let them know your child will be attending. BYO drink bottles in the warmer weather. After the next 2 weeks, YMBA domestic will take a break for Christmas and look forward to resuming again with our first season when school goes back next year. Hopefully in a COVID-normal environment

Due to the Victorian Government COVID-19 Restrictions and the lack of viable options for rescheduling dates through the remainder of 2020, the Country Under-14 Skills Days have unfortunately been cancelled. Basketball Victoria has three options for registered participants to chose from in regards to rolling over your registration or obtaining a refund. ... Please find further information on the three options below: Bottom-age participants - Born 2008 Eligible for 2021 Country Under-14 Skills Day Roll your entry fee forward to the 2021 Country Under-14 Skills Day and collect your 2020 T-Shirt from your local academy administrator. 11.01.2022 Return to Basketball and Current Restrictions While we are heading in the right direction with COVID-19 case numbers and are pleased to see the further easing of restrictions for regional Victoria, unfortunately, indoor sport is still located within the Governments last step. As of September 17, Regional Victorian's can participate in outdoor activity and training as per the Roadmap's Third Step. In alignment with our Return to Sport Guidelines the restrictions are:... Regional Victoria FOR 18 YEARS OLD AND UNDER: Current Reactivation Status = ORANGE-20 Contact and non-contact training for outdoor training only FOR 19 YEARS OLD AND OVER: Current Reactivation Status = RED-10 Non-contact training for outdoor training only YMBA are exploring options to return to domestic bball ASAP once the next level of restrictions ease-hopefully some time before Christmas. 03.01.2022 A big THANKYOU to all YMBA parents and guardians for being so understanding over the past 2 weeks with the restrictions placed on spectators for our finals. Everyone was respectful and followed the cap on numbers, which made our job a lot easier. So, many thanks to you all It was great to see the kids enjoying the game with some fantastic finals. Enjoy the break Registrations for the next season will be open in the next few weeks.

03.01.2022 We are still in limbo as to when government restrictions will allow us to return to indoor contact competition and therefore, our domestic competition games. It is in the last step, but when that step will be, is still unknown. Hopefully sometime soon. Until then, our weekly YMBA outdoor training sessions are a great option to keep our athletes basketball skills up.
03.01.2022 Grand Final Week for YMBA Tonight was girls night at the ECA First our B Grade girls started the night’s play .... great spirit on both sides with Lakers taking out the win over Heat.... The next game was our A Reserve girls with the game going down to the wire until Phoenix scored late to be the winner over Lakers by just four points. To end the night our A Grade girls played an awesome final ... with Flames claiming victory over Flyers. Thanks again to everyone involved and a big congratulations to all our award winners.
