23.01.2022 Attention to all members: The course is still closed to golf carts. We have currently had almost 7 of rain in the last 14 days. With good weather expected this week, hopefully the course will dry up enough to allow carts on, with restrictions by Wednesday to allow the Ladies to use them for the Keno 2 Person Ambrose Club Qualifier. We would appreciate if all members with private golf carts not enter the course with their carts. Golfer are still welcome to come and play. Regards YGC.

22.01.2022 Winner of today’s Stroke/Monthly Medal/qualifying Matchplay Championship Round was Sonia Davis. R/up in Div 2 was Val Brooker. 15.01.2022 Results from last Saturday’s Stableford competition. It was a very cold conditions for the brave 25 golfers that made the effort. A very good 41 points for Andrew Winterflood, for him to take the prize on the day.

14.01.2022 An update on golf cart usage on the course. Carts are now allowed back on the course, with restrictions in place. These restrictions are available from the Pro Shop. We would ask members with private carts, to be very careful entering the course, especially via the 18th fairway and the back of the 18th. Avoid the area altogether if you can.

13.01.2022 LET’S PLAY AMBROSE. Yass is playing the Club Qualifier for the Keno 2 Person Ambrose, Ladies qualifier is on tomorrow, Wednesday the 26th and the Men’s is being played on Sunday the 30th of August. It’d be great to see a good field of players competing so get your partner sorted and your names entered. Entry fee is an additional $5 per team.

12.01.2022 Congratulations to the Bob Johnson who won yesterday’s Yass Autopro Guzzlers Mug with a 66 net. Bob also picked up the B Grade and the putting competition with 28 putts on a count back from Dave McDowell and Billy Beck. The A grade was won by Mick Bell with 68 and the C grade won by new member Phil Sylvester with 67.

03.01.2022 Sunday’s Results, which was Super Sunday Stroke / Flag Event for something different. Rob Field won it with a 65 and was the only player to break handicap and take the flag up the 1st hole, only just missing the birdie putt. Next Sunday is the Men’s Foursomes Championships 27 holes, sponsoref by Gregory and McCarthy.

01.01.2022 Weekends roundup Saturday 21st S/Ford Nifty Nev Mathews started with a 7 up the first hole and bookended his front nine with a 6 down 9 this would have most golfers distraught but not our Nev he simply shrugged the shoulders and went about dismantling the back nine to shoot a crazy 24 points to finish with 42 whoppers. 37 crisp fades later nev had come out on top a nifty birdie up 10 started the onslaught.... The 2nd hottest golfer at Worth street this month claimed another podium place Peter Brady with splits of two 38’s for 39 points is having a super consistent month and keeps on dropping his handicap. Sunday 22nd After lighting up the course last weekend Lachlan Kemp returned for another onslaught. Fresh from a 63 gross last start he proceeded to reel off birdies at 1, 2, 4, 7, 10, 12, 17 and 18 wow A Bogey at 8 and a 3 putt bogey on 11 the only blemishes. 43 points and 62 shots later an amazing round but sadly preferred lies stopped him from equaling Tim Smiths course record. Another awesome achievement on the day was Wilbur Whyte who shot his age which is an achievement not a lot of us are ever going to be able to do. A birdie at 1 and then a paltry 4 bogeys totalling a 3 over gross for 42 points only shows the consistency and work Wilbur puts into his game and deserves all his accolades that come his way and this round only being overshadowed by Kemp’s masterclass. Awesome work Wilbur
