25.01.2022 Hey all, this is Lahne Wow!!!!! What a year 2019 was at Streetbeat! We had about 130 students see out the year and perform at the concerts over the last 2 nights, we saw 4 crews compete in 3 hip hop championship competitions during the year (doubling the crews from last year and with in that, seeing our first all boys competition crew) We also had the addition of our junior and senior intermediate classes -a preparation for comps in the future.... Last night I didn’t want to draw out the night with long speeches because the night is all about the students, but I wanted to say a HUGE thankyou to the large amount of people/ families who have caught the vision and donate their precious time to make this happen! .... from those who tirelessly set up and pack down each week, to those who help lug sound gear to community performances during the year, to those that set up and pack down the hall for the concert at the end of the year, I want to shout out from the roof top.... THANKYOU!!!!!! Without you, this would not be able to happen -it takes a community I have always said that YASS is the centre of the universe -you can feel the pull as you drive close to it but seriously, our community it pretty special!.... really special!!!! We look after each other, help those that are in need or going through rough patches, and we want to see your children grow up well! I am pretty honoured to part of such a community!!!!! Looking forward to 2020!

22.01.2022 ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS!!!!!!!! As of today, Sunday 22nd March 2020, Streetbeat will be going into hibernation. All classes will be suspended until further notice as per the governments announcement of cancellations of all ‘non essential gatherings’ and possible school closures. ... We are currently working on some video’s in which students can continue practicing their routines and learn some new ones each week. - we will keep you posted on this. Stay safe everyone and look after each other! We are looking forward to seeing you all buzz with excitement as you bring what you have learned in isolation back to the studio when the doors open again. Lots of love Lahne

18.01.2022 Creative and Active kids vouchers are due to expire!!!!! Do you find these vouchers confusing???? All children are allocated 3 x $100 vouchers from the government. 2 ‘active kids’ vouchers and a ‘creative kids’ voucher. ... All vouchers can use with Streetbeat! - yay! However, the 2019 vouchers are due to expire on 31.12.2019 and cannot be used in 2020. Make sure you have used your vouchers peeps!!!!

17.01.2022 Streetbeat will be back open TERM 3!!!!! All going well with the recent ease in restrictions, Streetbeat will be back up and running at the beginning of term 3!!!!!! In the mean time, make sure you are up to date with your on line classes ... We will be using these pieces at the end of year concert! Can’t wait to see you all!!!!! Keep dancing!

17.01.2022 Hiphop dance classes kick off Tuesday 4th February-if you haven’t already, get your self and your kids amongst it peeps.... you’ll LOVE it!!!!! K-Yr2 - 3.30-4.30 Yr3-5 - 4.30-5.30 Yr6-high - 6.30-7.30 ... Adult - 7.30-8.30 PLEASE NOTE: All classes have moved to 1 hour classes and cost $130/term. We take active and creative kids vouchers which works out to be $300/child/year thus leaving you with a balance of $220 for the year!!!!! You can’t afford not to!!!!

17.01.2022 Preschool hiphop dance classes.... the coolest thing you can get your kids into this year! Tuesdays 4-4.30pm Cost $80/term ... Print off an enrolment form, complete it and bring it along to the first class on Tuesday 4th February -can’t wait!

17.01.2022 To help limit contact with others for our youngest hip hoppers and to help with social distancing, our Preschool group is asked to please enter class today via the main church door from the street. Jess will have hand sanitiser for all students upon entering and will mark the children into class from there. We also ask that parents (for all classes) remain outside the building unless absolutely necessary for you to enter. Our crew leaders will ensure your children do not leav...e the studio until we see you outside the door. Thank you for your understanding during this trying time.

16.01.2022 Hi Yass community! We need your help! Due to circumstances out of our control, Streetbeat may need to find an alternate space to rent to be able to continue to operate. We have had our doors open in our community for about 17years now and currently we have around 130 students who attend classes each week. We are passionate about providing a safe space that children can enjoy physical activity, interact with peers, express themselves creatively through dance and song, and hav...e heaps of fun along the way! I am wondering if anyone has any ideas of a suitable space that we could rent. We need 3-4 large rooms of about 5m x 5m or larger spaces that we can divide up. Looking for somewhere that can be our own but happy to set up on 2-3 afternoons/nights a week in a building that is used for other purposes as we currently do. Somewhere central in town would be ideal so it is easy for children to get to after school and where we can continue to be accessible to the community, but we know this is a big ask. 09.01.2022 COVID-19 and Streetbeat!! All Streetbeat classes will proceed as normal. Before each class students will be asked and expected to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer- their own preferably; limited provided (as we cant purchase more these days). We will also be reinforcing to the students about social distancing and the reasons for this. At the end of class, lollies will be distributed with the use of gloves, and not letting students get their own.... Please do not send your child or children to class if they are unwell. If anything changes we will endeavor to let everyone know ASAP. See more

07.01.2022 Hey guys!!!! How is the isolation going? Over the next couple of days we will be sending our codes either via text or emails so you can jump on to your class on line, keep practicing your dances that you have already learnt and learn some more while having loads of fun! There will be some dance challenges along the way too, so watch out for those! ... If you are not part of the Streetbeat family already but would like to jump in, just send us a message. Dancing is great exercise and it makes you feel SUPER happy doing it! We just want to keep our community hip hop-ing while in isolation. Let’s do this! A HUGE thankyou to Ashley Parker for doing up the videos for us..... you are one talented young lady! Thankyou for beng so incredibly supportive of our dance community!

04.01.2022 With a heavy heart, the team at Streetbeat sadly announce that we have decided to continue to hibernate for the rest of the year due to the ever changing climate and restrictions due to covid-19. We look forward to starting back in February 2021 with a bang Can’t wait to see you then!
