Tunneling will occur just 17m below the surface of some homes in Camperdown risking serious damage. This project does not have community consent, the 'consultation' has been a farce and the information sessions are useless tick-a-box exercises. The NSW government has ignored the concerns of local communities and shown us no respect. Join us at a protest this Wednesday to tell this government that our community doesn't need another dirty, polluting toll-road. 20.01.2022 STAGE 3B - Westconnex My Urgency Motion was submitted to Council last night and was debated in conjunction with a Mayoral Minute put forward by the Mayor. The ...Mayor and I will work on a letter to the Premier. Here is what I submitted: In the interest of accountability, due process and due diligence, Council calls on the NSW Premier not to sign the contract for Stage 3B of Westconnex (which includes the Rozelle Interchange) to ensure that: * an incoming government is not limited or bound to a highly contentious contract * an incoming government can fully review the project and business case * the people of NSW are not placed at serious financial risk * the current NSW Government does not misuse it’s power and authority - just prior to entering into Caretaker Mode - to approve huge expenditure of public money. 05.01.2022 Now Annandale with NOW PT banner dropping the M4 this morning. We alternate between the M4 and M5 fortnightly. This is quite a way out but we may soon be wantin...g to target closer in at Sydney Uni Footbridge and the one over Victoria road at White Bay with banners more specific to the Inner West. Anybody interested could let us know in a comment here. You would be very welcome especially in the lead up to the state election!! See more
