21.01.2022 Pedestrian Refuge At the Intersection of Mathew Flinders Way Arnhem Road This is the first pedestrian refuge in the Nhulunbuy which was successfully constructed by our Civil Department. Pedestrian refuge islands can help pedestrians to crossroads safely and is used where there is a demand for pedestrians to cross the road, but where the numbers of pedestrians are not high enough to warrant a signalised pedestrian crossing.... Pedestrian refuge islands are raised median islands that provide a location for pedestrians to safely wait for a gap in the traffic so they can finish crossing the road. This makes crossing the road easier for pedestrians by allowing them to cross in two stages and deal with one direction of traffic flow at a time. The work has been executed as per Australian Standards and under the guidance of Nhulunbuy Corporation’s representative. Great management with Gavin Law and Raj Jadhav! #smashinggoals #Civil

We now consist of the following entities: Yirralka Mala Limited the 26 Bapurra (clans) of North East Arn...hem Land YBE (2) Pty Ltd Our Nhulunbuy based entity, offering environmental and land management services, Civil Earthworks, Building, Fencing and Tree Maintenance as well as Homelands and Community Support. YBE NT Pty Ltd Our Darwin based entity, offering Environmental and Land Management services; irrigation services, grounds maintenance, arboreal services and horticultural services. This entitity has its own independent Facebook page and is separate of the YBE (2) company. Our core competencies include our very well known Djama Mirri Mala Program, ALPA CDP programs and public transport that’s accessible to the community of Nhulunbuy. YBE Charitable Fund In adjacent to our N.E.A.L entity, the purpose of this Charity is to solely advance the conditions and welfare of Australian Indigenous People of the region.
