25.01.2022 Disability Sport and Recreation are launching their new Disability Sport at Home series online exercise sessions that you can take part in from your own lounge room. Each session will be run in partnership with a different organisation, giving you the opportunity to try different sport and recreational activities. It will be a fun and casual way to try something new! Anyone can join in no experience is needed and each session is designed to be inclusive of people with disability.

23.01.2022 Have your say and connect with others. Registrations are now open for the inaugural National Youth Disability Summit. The summit is an opportunity for young people under 30 with a disability to come together to discuss their experiences and ask questions about what is important to them. The summit will take place online making it accessible to all youth no matter where they are.... Over 5 days, the youth-led national summit will discuss key themes, including: education, employment, mental health, the NDIS and housing and inclusion. 14.01.2022 Next week YMCA Victoria will be hosting a free youth forum for young Victorians aged 12 to 25. Life in Lockdown 2.0 will provide young people with an opportunity to discuss what’s getting them through lockdown this time around. We’ve all had to adapt and look for new things to keep us connected and entertained - some have joined the banana bread bandwagon, while others are flocking to Tik Tok! ... 08.01.2022 The Active Monash Integrated Practical Placement program provides a unique opportunity for young people living with disability to bridge the gap between the cla...ssroom, studying Certificate I in Work Education (Sport) and finding work. Students who do the program will receive qualifications to kick-start their sport and recreation career including: Certificate I in Work Education AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Lifesaving Victoria Pool Lifeguard Award Senior First Aid and CPR Sports-based coaching and umpiring courses (TBC) Enrolments for the 2021 program are open now and close November 27, 2020. 06.01.2022 Disability Sport and Recreation Hub have teamed up with Hockey Victoria to bring you their next Online Disability Sport at Home Series. Running on the 7th of October at 1pm you can learn all about Hockey. The session will run for 30 minutes and can be accessed by Zoom. The sessions have been designed with people with disability in mind and will give you the chance to learn more about Hockey. During the session you can meet other people, try some new skills in a safe and soci...al environment. Everyone is welcome to and no previous experience or equipment is required.
