25.01.2022 Common problem with the d40 egr pipes on the yd25s is that they crack. A new egr pipe cost over $1000 from Nissan. We do a egr delete kit for $135.

24.01.2022 Did a check on this black d40 the pictures show the best reference, and the worst reference. The referencing in every other capture was between these 2. We sample 32 pages of cam and crank reference data. Therefore, we can see every variation in the referencing. This is a good indication of worn links in the chain. You can hear the ticking, clicking noise of worn chain running over the sprockets. We advised not to drive the vehicle. Anybody who has had a timing chain fitted with 50 to 100 000km bring your car in for a free check.

20.01.2022 Not many people know that the early YD engines actually used a duplex chain. It was only when Nissan switched to the simplex design that the timing chain problems started. The engine was designed for a duplex and thats why we convert it back then improve Nissans design. None of the Australian yd25s came with duplex fuel pump chains.

19.01.2022 For those on a limited budget, we are now manufacturing the only Australian made CNC 4140 single row vacuum pump sprocket for the yd25. The sprocket has been designed with a flat face to allow you to properly check chain alignment between the vacuum pump and fuel pump. This sprocket is available in a single row chain kit containing genuine Nissan parts, from us only. Buyer beware if you buy any other single row kit it will not contain a vacuum pump sprocket. You will be forced to reuse the worn and brittle vacuum pump sprocket. This is the best of the cheap kits. Our duplex kit is the best of the best.

16.01.2022 Customer is selling their car and wanted the chain done. Striped it down and found the vacuum pump sprocket in this state. Just as well the new 4140 vacuum sprockets arrived from nitride hardening treatment. Fitted our new simplex vac pump sprocket $100 Fitted the revisited chain kit $1800.

This check plots the Cam and Crank angle sensor readings and makes a graph which shows the wear on the timing chain. 10.01.2022 Who said 140 kw had better chains. This is a one owner from new. Been looked after. 2014 D40 140kw. 87701 kms Cam Crank referencing showing more than 1/2 worn. Due to the hardening process of chain pins and bushes wear of the remaining 1/2 is much faster than that of the first. Took a picture with his phone of the referencing. He is coming back in 20000 for another free check.
