24.01.2022 Have You Reached A Plateau Do you find that you have stuck in the same position for quiet some time now? If your progress with your training/nutrition has stalled and you haven’t seen any changes with your results maybe it’s time to change things up. One of the main reason’s for this could be your food intake. If your nutrition isn’t where it needs to be and you aren’t providing your body with quality nutrients or adequate fuel that it needs, you will find it hard to m...ake any progress. Try having a bit of structure, a good way to track your progress with your food would be to count your calories (optional). It’s a good and easy way to keep your self accountable and have control of the food you are eating. Another main reason is you have no structure with your training. Change your program every 4-6 weeks as a start, play around with your sets/reps and see what works for you. Make your training fun for your to enjoy and have flexibility with your foods to have a better lifestyle! Need help? Have any questions, send me a DM and I will be happy to help out! #YDFitness #YDFitnessPT

Looking forward to see how my body changes over the next few months! #YDFitness #YDFitnessPT @ Fitness First Australia
07.01.2022 Its been a while but I’m backkkk! Happy Friday to all. Enjoy this leg workout I filmed for you guys to try out! Give it a crack and let me know how you go (this session was more strength based, you can do the same thing and aim for a 8-12 rep range if you feel more comfortable) A1) Barbell back squat - 4 x 5 ... B1) Nordic curl - 3 x 5 also superset with seated vertical jump (not filmed) C1) Bulgarian split squats - 3 x 8 D1) Lying hamstring curl 1 & 1/2 reps - 3 x 10 E1) Standing machine calf raise 3 x 12-15 As you can see with the Nordic curl’s, I was coming down a little to fast, I try to aim for at least 3-5 seconds eccentric (coming down) If Nordic curl’s are an advanced movement, you can regress to a barbell romanian deadlift (RDL) which will also help strengthen up your hamstrings. Don’t be afraid to challenge yourself and try new things. Note: Studies have shown Nordic curls to have 65-75% reduced hamstring injuries amongst professional athletes. Need any help/have any questions? Don’t be afraid to DM me and I’ll be happy to help out

04.01.2022 Want to learn how to Romanian Deadlift (RDL) > Watch the video above and see if this helps you with correcting your form with your (RDL’s) If you struggle to get good form with your RDL’s, re-asses your form and learn how to go through the movement correctly. ... Here I have my client Steven learning how to go through the RDL movement pattern for the first time. In this video we are using a mini barbell, this can also be done at home using broomstick. Remember this exercise is a (hip hinge) movement not a squat movement. Key points to remember: * Place your feet hip width with toes slight pointing out * Have your (broomstick) as an example < behind your back, one hand holding at the top and the opposite at the bottom * Begin by pulling your hips as far back as you can with a slight bend at the knee’s * Make sure you maintain a neutral spine throughout the movement. You will notice if your rounding your back as soon as the broomstick comes off at the bottom of your back. > Keep practicing this movement till you feel comfortable using a barbell and have correct technique. If you need any other help or have any questions shoot me a PM and I’ll be happy to help out and answer your questions. #YDFitness #YDFitnessPT See more
