02.01.2022 Hey there fambam You mightve noticed weve been a little more close lipped on the gram than our usual selves of late.. Its been a saddening and testing time for many with fires not only affecting our wider community here in Victoria, but throughout the country. Whilst watching the devastation unfold of the Australian 19/20 bushfires, our hearts have been breaking with the rest of the nation. ... The blazes have relentlessly torn through bushland, damaged homes, taken lives, and wreaked havoc across our precious and unique flora and fauna. As thick plumes of smoke blanketed towns, cities, and the country, the overwhelm of helplessness is crippling. If the last few months have shown us anything, its that we as a nation are at the ready to help wherever and however possible. Businesses both large and small, cafes and restaurants, here in Geelong unite - all banding together with the rest of Australia - giving so readily, and generously. Its incredibly inspiring and makes us feel part of something bigger, as we are all #strongertogether. Further, It made us think of all the local, volunteer legends who time after time put themselves in harms way, to ensure the safety of others, and their communities. To say thank you in one way we know how, we will be giving $10,000 of food away to our local SES & CFA volunteers. We want our donation to directly affect the lives of our wonderful volunteers, so, if you are a volunteer for the SES or CFA services, or know of someone who is, please contact [email protected] with your member identification number, and we will shout you a feed on us to say thanks for all that you have done and continue to do for our communities.
