24.01.2022 Yea Physiotherapy is very excited to welcome Jess Kennedy. Jess will be providing telehealth consultations from Saturday 25th April. Telehealth physiotherapy is now covered by private insurance, Worksafe, Transport Accident Commission and Medicare under the EPC program. Completing her Masters of Physiotherapy in 2012, Jess has worked in private practice with Goulburn Physiotherapy in Seymour, the Wellness Centre in Kilmore, and Fusion Physiotherapy Bendigo.... Jess is a keen sports person, and this year has committed to playing netball for Yea Football Netball Club, along with her wife, Yea local, Jacqui Graham. Jess has played many years of football and netball, with highlights including captaining Richmond VFLW, and winning best and fairest for Richmond in 2018. Before this she played with Carlton AFLW. Jess is passionate about helping people with strength and conditioning, and maximising client's sporting potential, as well as helping people with general physiotherapy issues. Appointments with Jess will be via telehealth. You will require a smartphone, laptop or computer, and will download the physiapp app, which we can talk you through. This is a fabulous app, with video conferencing, and over 4000 exercises for us to choose from, to help with your recovery. Kim Slavin is still available for face to face physiotherapy that is deemed clinically necessary, as well as telehealth. Call 57360475 for appointments

22.01.2022 A little bit of agility, strength, coordination, stamina....... as well as social distancing, toilet paper humour, and hand sanitising- good job!

22.01.2022 Stay safe everyone

20.01.2022 Thanks Yea Tigers for the post. During stage 3 restrictions, I am available for both in clinic treatments, and telehealth. The upside re not training for netball, or going to horse competitions, is I am available more days! Things are a little different in Corona times, with health workers being required to wear both a mask and eye covering. You will have your temperature taken, and only attend if you are feeling well, ie no fever, cough, runny nose. I have been seeing lots... of injuries and issues to do with lockdown, and people working and studying from home. Come in for assessment of your injuries, hands on therapy, and an individualised treatment plan for your condition. There has been less demand for telehealth over the last month, so Jess is currently not available. See more

17.01.2022 Kelly is next to the post office, and does a fabulous job. Also has a great range of frames if you break or lose your glasses.

15.01.2022 Good morning, just letting you know, Yea Physiotherapy remains open. If you are at all unwell, or have returned from OS in the last 2 weeks, please do not attend. If you have severe musculo skeletal pain, eg back pain or neck pain, ring me re having an appointment. If you have a "niggle", ring me and we can discuss options for you to manage your pain at home. Lots of sanitising being done here, but we are all safer if we can stay home. I am organising to have teleconferenc...ing available, which hopefully will be allowed by medicare, TAC, workcover, DVA and private health insurance bodies by next week. Not ideal, but better than no treatment. Ring on 57360475, or I am happy for you to call me on 0400261130. If I don't answer, leave a message, and I will get back to you. This is for anyone, you don't have to be a current or previous client. Take care, Kim

14.01.2022 I am now offering telehealth consultations. These are fully funded under medicare, if you have a referral under the EPC program (enhanced primary care), from your GP. They are also funded by some compensible bodies. I understand that you would rather me person, but this is a good option when we are being encouraged to stay home. I can talk you through setting it up as long as you can download apps on your phone or tablet.... I am also offering very limited face to face treatments for patients with acute, severe musculo skeletal pain, in line with Government directives. Please call me, 57360475, or 0400261130 if you would like to discuss your options. Cheers, Kim See more

13.01.2022 Looking for a great meal and some entertainment this weekend? Kelly and gang at the Peppercorn Hotel have a great competition going. Called a "Dine in date night", order your take away meal, dress up yourself and your table, and take a photo to post on their website. This is also a competition with the Alexandra Hotel, and as there is no football and netball to rival over, this is a great option to get the competitive juices running.

12.01.2022 Good advice for all of us

06.01.2022 Yea Physiotherapy remains open, as we are an essential service. I now offer telehealth, via a safe (cyber security wise) app that you download, called physiapp. This app has over 3000 exercises, with great descriptions, and videos of the exercises. Telehealth is not for everyone. It is currently covered for patients insured with DVA, worksafe, and medicare (EPC program), and soon to have item numbers funded by private health insurers. You can also pay privately, similar to... having an in-clinic consultation. There is good evidence for telehealth, and it is is a great way to deliver a service when the focus of the treatment is * education regarding your condition * advice for self- management * prescribed, individualised therapeutic exercises * general physical activity advice * follow-up and monitoring of progress, especially if I have seen you previously Telehealth is not for everyone, and I remain open for some face to face treatments, if this is what is indicated. Please call 57360475 to discuss your options.

02.01.2022 Both Jess and Kim are available for Telehealth appointments. Send a message if you have any questions, or ring 57360475.

02.01.2022 So, a lot of things happen in a day these days. I have decided to stop all face to face treatment. I am setting up for teletherapy, which will be available from next week. Take care, and I am happy for you to call me, 0400261130, for advice.
