25.01.2022 YAPPERS is looking for people with any level of experience to come and join our audition nights next week. This production will see actors reading from scripts live at the microphone in front of a live audience. You don’t need to learn lines, and you don’t need to understand how to move around a stage. If you’ve never had the joy of working with a cast to create a play for an audience but think it looks like fun, this is your chance. 22.01.2022 Hi to all our YAPPERS friends! Time to get YAPPERS to work! I am proposing an online monologue screening. The idea is that you do a monologue from a show or book or one you have created yourself, and don the costume, create a backdrop, and film yourself. We'll soon put up a link which includes a small list for women and one for men that you might like to choose from, or find one yourself. Research the character or do it in a whole new way. Have fun with it, and then we can put them up on our page to view. If you have a family member who you want to work with, use a piece for 2 people. No time limit, so get creative!!!

13.01.2022 It's AUDITION TIME! Yes, this coming Monday, 31 May at 7pm we're beseeching you to jump out of your armchair and come on down to the Yea Community House. We'll be auditioning for our next show, "The Living Wireless", which will see YAPPERS present two scripted radio plays live in front of an audience. It'll be massive fun for the audience to hear the stories unfold and watch the sound effects being made while the actors ham it up at the microphone! Murder Mystery "The Case of... the Careless Client" requires a maximum of 7 males and 5 females. We may have actors double up on some roles, so we may choose to have fewer actors. Comedy "The Broken String Incident" has many characters but again we will expect some actors to double up - or more! We'll need a maximum of 4 males and 4 females plus 11 more roles that could be either. The performances will be read from script, so there's no need to learn lines. How good is that?! Come on down and try acting without the hard bits.

07.01.2022 G'day fellow thespians. I am having fun mucking about with Imovie and as I have a bit more time on my hands I'd like to continue. Would any of you like to participate in my next experimental "movie"? If so, please send me 4 headshots, separately please, of these 4 emotions: disbelief, anger, response to a hilarious joke and is that a flying saucer I see above me. Absolutely no royalties or remuneration will be given you for your participation, but if I complete it and it is snapped up by Hollywood, I am happy to buy each participant a chocolate frog. 03.01.2022 Hello fellow thespians of all ages, thank you to all who took part in my first bit of silliness. You were fantastic and so expressive, you outdid the cream of Hollywood. Now that you've seen the incredible quality of my film making prowess (really? Still navigating the app imovie ) I'd like to attempt to make a THRILLER! Calling for a lead actor of either gender. A protagonist and lots of shady characters. SO, if you could send me some various head shots displaying "susp...icion, malice, sneakiness, horror, grief and guilt," and one of opening the door suspiciously, that would be amazing. Also, any right brain dreamers who wish to be involved with the production, direction and/or story line are more than welcome... Again, no story line at all to date, and it would be fabulous if some of you put up your hand to do some action shots so please be part of it and hope to get some downloads soon. See more
