19.01.2022 Echium Simplex - now in all its glory! A huge torch of little white flowers, I’ve enjoyed its journey so much from a tiny plant picked up in a local garage sale because it looked different. As an avid collector I’m always on the hunt for different plants, especially those perennials our Grandmothers grew now disappearing from nurseries and gardens. Plant conservation was certainly one of the inspirations for starting the nursery. #echuim #echiumsimplex #perennialgarden #perennials #cottagegarden #mailorderplants #plantconservation #grandmasgarden @ Nowra, New South Wales

17.01.2022 Everything in the nursery is coming up flowers, as the weather warms, early summer is very much in the air and the bees, birds and butterflies are telling me so, customers are too. Yes we are open, though please ring first (0417 433 357) to make an appointment as we propagate all the plants we sell, so we do need to factor in time to spend with you.

13.01.2022 Echium simplex`Tower of Jewels’ - After what seems a very long wait at last this beauty is about to flower, it’s not an Echium I’ve grown before so it will be exciting to see it flower, though it’s beautiful smooth satin leaves and it’s mammoth size have been recompense enough. On the edge of a path and often in the way it’s life has been threatened many times (not by me). #echium #southcoastnsw #perennialgarden #perennials #cottagegarden @ Nowra, New South Wales

09.01.2022 Echium Simplex - From the first sign a month ago that it was thinking of flowering to this, no flowers yet but lots of tiny buds. We’ve just had four days of windy weather which hasn’t seemed to worry it very much. I’m so looking forward to seeing it in bloom, one of the things I love about gardening is the anticipation of what’s to come. #echium #cottagegarden #perennialgarden #perennials #mailorderplants #southcoastnsw

04.01.2022 The lovely Forest Bell Flower Mackaya bellla flourishing in a shady spot in the garden even though it’s quite dry. The advent of the pandemic has changed life for many of us, even for our small business, since March a huge number of plants have gone out to gardens near and far. Sometimes our small crew has had difficulty coping with the never ending flood of orders. Of course it’s been great for the nursery, though weekends are a thing of the past and sometimes when still pac...king plants on a Sunday night I have a poor me moment. With the cancellation of plant fairs, and our annual open garden/plant sale you may have missed us, if so I can assure you visits by individuals are still welcome and with little time to put new plants on the website there are a lot of plants to see, so if you would like to come to the nursery or pick up an order please ring me on 0417 433 357 or email me to make an appointment, so we can make some time available for you. Happy gardening, Mim #cottagegarden #perennialgarden #perennials #mackayabella #southcoastnsw

02.01.2022 Campanula ‘Cherry Bells’ Dwarf Spotted Bell Flower, always a delight, a tough little plant for a semi shaded spot.
