16.01.2022 This was about the moment Mel said to me ‘give me your best boss lady pose’. How did I do? If your new here, here’s a little about me. I started yellow rose from my parents spare room seven years ago, I was known as the ‘lash lady’ back then. Since then I have studied, studied and studied some more. I am an avid skin enthusiast, a mama to two beautiful little boys and very soon to be married to their wonderful Daddy. It was my love for skin that led us to our biggest change to date, we renamed our business to Ilios Skin, to envelop our love for skin health. While we are LOVING our new direction we just wanted to let you know, we are still here, same management, same treatment menu (with some amazing additions) and importantly, the same heart.

01.01.2022 Let’s talk oils - it is a common misconception that in order to repair dry skin, you need thick oils and creams. While these products will sit on the surface of the skin and pose as a barrier, tricking your skin into feeling hydrated, they are far to thick for the skin to properly absorb. This means they are only working topically and as soon as they are removed your skin is left feeling the same. In order for your skin to truly absorb the oils, the molecule size needs to be smaller than 500 dalton (small right?!). This is why we use a polarising spray after applying our oils and creams, to shrink that molecule and send that good stuff right down where we need it.
