Exciting day at Yeo Farm today, our journey to fulfilling our dream of servicing a much needed niche of breeding stud quality Australian White sheep for our bio-region took another small step. Our scanned in lamb ewe purchase at this year’s record-breaking Tattykeel Australian White sale has really showcased what the pinnacle of this amazing breed is all about with this new ewe lamb pictured here less than one hour old. 18.01.2022 Growth!! Seed was broadcast in March and trampled in with sheep grazing. Four different types of clover - I’ll check with Andrew the types! there would be so much more than I know is going on! Andrew Yeo This hill is a pretty special project of landscape hydration and ongoing pasture improvement that will be featured on the KGLL field day this coming Friday. The paddock is S5, the project is spiral hill top and the results are awesome. Thousands of bana grass canes have bee...n planted in the last few weeks so it’s going to just pumping. 13.01.2022 Tonight we feasted on Yeo Lamb Shanks! I have a recipe from a 15 yo magazine that I used and replaced the plum jame with @laceyeva23 from Cafe On Main Mulberry Jam and the sneaky last bottle of Old Inn Road Vineyard Dolcetto that I have. Rosemary and Thyme from the garden and I was stoked with how delicious it was. Looks darl but that was the beautiful Mulberry Jam carmelised. 13.01.2022 Sunday Paddock BBQ. There has been some serious fencing work going on this past week as we replace a boundary fence and put more dog exclusion fencing in. This will allow us to utilise this tree pocket on hot days in summer. The OG Yeo was happy back at the barbie plough disc that he built many moons ago (like 40) and reminisced on many a paddock bbq at their old farm that Andrew grew up on.
