25.01.2022 What stinks more than the beach right now? Getting a parking fine! Warm weekend + no swimming in beach algal bloom = bustling Yeppoon Lagoon If you're planning to cool off at the lagoon, remember paid parking has resumed. There is a drop off zone where you can drop off the kids (with an adult of course) before finding a legal park, like one of the 280 spots at the Yeppoon Town Centre Carpark, which are free all day and it's only 838 steps to the Yeppoon Lagoon ... We will be issuing infringements to motorists who continue to park on grassed areas or gardens. 23.01.2022 Don't spoil a great day out at the Yeppoon Lagoon with a parking fine! Make sure you park in the designated parking bays around the lagoon or take a stroll from the Yeppoon Town Centre Carpark to avoid an infringement. Please do not park on the grassed areas around the lagoon - it is against the law to park or stop on a bicycle path, footpath, shared path, dividing strip, nature strip, or painted island, unless signs tell you otherwise. This Queensland Government road rule exists to ensure Queensland roads and streets stay organised and safe for all road users and pedestrians.
