25.01.2022 Its National Volunteerss Week! We are so blessed to have an amazing team of volunteers who assist us at our Family Store, our Heart for the Hungry Breakfast and Mini Musos each week. Not to mention people who have volunteered to Doorknock for our Red Shield Appeal each year. We couldnt do what we do without the support of our fantastic volunteers. Thanks for all you do, you make a difference in our community!

25.01.2022 Great things are being achieved here on the Capricorn Coast because of the generous donations that have been given to the Red Shield Appeal. This year, we have started our First Step Recovery Program (Drug and Alcohol 12 Step Program) here in Yeppoon and our Heart for the Hungry Breakfast continues to supply a hot breakfast in a safe and welcoming environment for those who are lonely, kids on the way to school and for people who are finding it difficult to make ends meet. We... have also been able to continue our support to families who experience hardship around Christmas with hampers and toys to alleviate the burden that Christmas can bring. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, you wont see us collecting at Yeppoon Central or Keppel Bay Plaza, you won't see students from Yeppoon State High School, St Ursula's or St Brendan's doorknocking and our usual Business Breakfast Launch won't be happening... bottom line is, the RED SHIELD APPEAL is going to look quite different this year because we are going digital! Things might be different in the way we are collecting, however the need is still ever increasing and we still need your support to continue to make a difference in the lives of people who are struggling in this little patch of paradise. So if you are able to give, please do, as your donation will make a difference in someones life. Help us to help our community.

21.01.2022 Good news! Our family store has re-opened this week! 2 Charles Street Yeppoon (phone 49392578) Donations can be dropped off at the store. Due to restrictions, we may not be able to accept some donations, please call ahead for clarification.

Wed love for you to join us on Tuesday mornings..9:45am at 46 Braithwaite Street. Cost is a gold coin donation. Fun is guaranteed and a workout as well if you join in the dancing.

We have over 50 volunteers who regularly give up their time to support their community by helping at the Salvos. These guys and girls truly are a blessing and we are so thankful they choose to stand with us to provide some hope, life and love to this terrific community.

The shakers are refilled, the dancing shoes are ready now we just need some kids and parents/caregivers to join us for our music session on Tuesday mornings starting at 9:30. Mini Musos is a program that incorporates singing, dancing, playtime and morning tea for children up to school age. If youre interested in joining the fun we start Tuesday 5 February at 46 Braithwaite Street Yeppoon at 9:30am.

12.01.2022 Sunday afternoon was a great time of worship and celebration as the 4 new Officers in the Capricornia Cluster were installed. Ros, Dale, Rick and BJ come from differing backgrounds and experiences and are looking forward to joining the journey with the Yeppoon Community.

They are great ambassadors for their schools, their families and community. Great effort and we are blessed having such community minded kids amongst us. 03.01.2022 Red Shield Appeal 2018.... its been quite a week!! Once again, the generosity of our community both businesses and community members has been such a blessing to witness. Great news, We have exceeded last years total!! The Red Shield Appeal wouldnt be the success it is without the amazing support of our communitys students either. The commitment from staff and students from Yeppoon State High School and St Ursulas College has to be acknowledged. Year after year, they get... involved and doorknock to raise funds for Aussies that need assistance. Special shoutout to Robert and his team from Cap Coast Glass who have collected for years and have so many Red Shield Appeal Appreciation Certificates they could wallpaper a whole wall! To Westpac staff who give up their weekend time to count the money collected, and to McDonalds who donate Free Big Mac vouchers for our volunteers... Thankyou too!! Together we can all do our bit to Give Hope to those who need it most!
