25.01.2022 Yeppoon State High School is now celebrating a new digital sister school, Akiota Junior High School (Year 7- 9), in Hiroshima, Japan. 2020 has been an interesting year but we are finishing with some wins! Our time as a digital education provider has brought us new ways to connect. Year 8 students in our Japanese Excellence class participated in Live communication with Year 9 students in Akiota. We exchanged questions in both English and Japanese. We also sang the Australian national anthem and Akiota sang their school song. We look forward to building various authentic learning opportunities for both YSHS and Akiota students though this exciting new relationship.
