25.01.2022 A big thank you to Bunnings Rocklea for donating garden supplies to help our Prep students grow their curiosity and green thumbs! Our Preps have been inquiring into the needs of living things. Teachers and students have been experimenting with growing plants and investigating animal interactions in our local area. Each class has decided to create their own classroom garden. We are continuing to learn from local experts as students create and implement their own garden designs.

25.01.2022 Thank you to our generous school community for the many donations given to Chappy’s Hamper Appeal. Donations can still be dropped off to the baskets in the office foyer until the end of November. We are hoping to give 10 families a basket of goodies to help them through the festive season.

24.01.2022 OUR BEES HAVE ARRIVED! Thank you to the Kandel family from Prep who have kindly donated their Australian Native Stingless Bee Hive for our school community to enjoy! You can visit them in the tree between the library and the hall and watch their amazing antics! BUT, please don't touch them!!! Although they are stingless, they don't like their hive being disturbed and can bite! Please help us to take good care of them by looking with your eyes only! (please share this with your children)

24.01.2022 Yeronga State School Lets Get Moving Challenge This week we have a final learning@home challenge, for all students who are both at home or at school. We cant wait to see what you come up with! This week the staff at YSS are starting their 10,000 steps team challenge, so ...we are planning on getting active too. Take a photo or video (less than 3 minutes limit please) of your Lets Get Moving submission and send it via email by 9am Friday 22 May to [email protected] Please ensure that you put your name and year level in the title of the email- thanks!
