A few of our brilliant choir singers will be involved in the Opera Queensland Under the Stars event tomorrow at the Riverstage. 25.01.2022 Six Year 11 students along with Ms Amy Kallis and Ms Cari Warn went into the city for a Visual Art excursion yesterday. Students participated in an ‘authentic experience’ that focused on reflecting on how artists consider ideas and information, media techniques and processes. They were involved in multiple activities and explored the environment around them all while creating meaningful, expressive art. Students also visited the Museum of Brisbane ‘Perspectives’ exhibition, that looks at the history of Brisbane, so that they could gain some context regarding the places they were visiting and ‘experiencing’ throughout the day. #YSHS #Art #Excursion #Experience #VisualArts #Quality #Harmony #Sustainability #QualityPathwaystoSuccess

23.01.2022 We had a very special guest for our Yarning Circle session yesterday - Alisha from Faebella. She is a proud Gurang gurang, Wuthathi and Deibau woman who is originally from North Queensland. She spoke of her days as a law student and how she became involved in distributing Indigenous artworks from around Australia to promote artists from all mobs on her fitness line. The kids and teachers absolutely loved having her - learnt so much! Thanks very much Alisha and we hope to have you back soon!
