19.01.2022 Rivendell Spring Garden Soirée With the Winter behind us and Spring in full swing, it’s time to don you finery for the most complete day out East Gippsland has ...to offer! If you have ever wanted to indulge on exceptional cocktails, local wines and artisan brews, dine on Tapas grazing tables, roaming Canapés, drool over slow-roasting local whole beasts followed by the prettiest bags of the sweetest treats, be serenaded by a melodious vocalist, then dance off to some deep beats, wander through manicured gardens and orchards springing back to life after the winter, gaze upon vintage cars, {maybe check the Grand Final footy scores} and not have to drive anywhere to do it The Rivendell Spring Garden Soirée on Saturday the 28th of September from Midday until 9PM is a collaboration of hand selected artisans and exceptionally talented musicians from both near and far, congregating at one of Australia’s prettiest Farm Stays for a complete day of frivolity with a little sprinkling of mischief. Speaking of the kids, if needed, you had better get a babysitter or start buttering up the Grandparents for this 18+ event so Mummy & Daddy can Party! Featuring Rob Turner of Northern Ground, Mia Coady-Plumb of The Rochester, Josh Thomas of La Matanza at Rivendell, Pâtissier Jevan Strudwick, Cocktail Guru Scott Reed of Savant Spirits, Lightfoot & Sons Wines, Sailors Grave Brewing Beers, Acoustic Songbird Erin McMahon, DJ B4RKLY, Bruthen Creek Pork, Forge Creek Lamb and return coach transfers from Gillicks Bus Lines; we have organised something for everyone for a day out that you won’t forget! As we bid farewell to the bitter cold, we are encouraging all to get out your finest Spring Garden Party Attire to embrace the warmer weather ahead whilst leaving your footy scarves and jumpers at home. Although the day is entirely about the sensory fulfilment through the culinary, beverage, musical and visual stimulation, the sporting enthusiasts haven’t been forgotten. If you feel the need to pop into the main Dining room of the farmhouse to check the scores or watch the final quarter, we have the AFL Grand Final projected onto an enormous screen so you won’t miss out. During halftime you might even like to wander through the car park to admire some classic, vintage and muscle cars completing our Daddy-Day-care facility. Gillicks Coaches will be departing from Howitt Park in Bairnsdale and Metung Village Green at 11:30AM and 12:30PM offering a secondary pickup point from Nicholson General Store and Swan Reach at the carpark under the bridge. Return Coaches depart the venue at 8PM & 9PM. Please advise us of your preference for pickup times and locations when you book your festival tickets. Coaches are limited to 57 passengers, so once they’re full we will notify you. In case that isn’t enough we will be drawing the Golden Ticket on the 21st of September to see who gets to wave Goodbye to the last coach take 10 steps from the Cocktail Bar and jump into the cedar hot tub before they retire to Bag End Cottage for the evening with a late check out the following day. (Bag End accommodates 2 guests for the lucky winner under the name specified on the ticket drawn). We feel privileged to be amongst some incredible re...staurants, across Australia and very local to us and to be a small part of the amazing things happening in the hospitality scene in East Gippsland. Lots of improvements to be made and to come and recognition like this only fuels this!
