We are open 7 days a week and rosters will be over a 7 day period. Who you are: - You have excitement about our business growing to the next level and wanting to be an active part of our gro...wth. - You have experience in a sales environment/dealing with KPI’s, Targets and Sales Performance Frameworks. (Sales experience is preferred, but NOT essential, but they must be passionate about life and all you do.) - You take pride in your appearance and have confidence dealing with any given situation as it arises. - You have proven yourself to be the ultimate team player, and you always strive to create value in any situation and have a strong desire to lead by example - You possess the ability to think quickly on your feet and have a genuine desire to connect with every customer you come in contact with. - You have attention to detail. Helping our customers with a smile and honest knowledge is a must. Being able to strive for targets individually and as a team. Completing training and other tasks as instructed. Handling legal contracts with privacy and attention to detail. Booking in stock. Merchandising store. Answering phones. Organising packages for couriers. Dealing with a vast range of customers with understanding and empathy and generally being enthusiastic about how all parts of our business runs and doing it well. Being a fast learner, or able to easily retain information is very helpful in our fast paced industry. We have our own on the job training in store. Having a friendly personality and a love for people is essential for this role. Computer skills and ability to use the internet is also needed as most of our work is done online. There are multiple progression paths available to you in your Optus career based on performance and availability. 18.01.2022 To every customer we have had the privilege of meeting: It is with a sad, but excited heart, that we announce that we have sold our Optus store to a new owner. On June 1, 2020, the 25-year journey of my family with this store, and with its many customers, will come to a close.... The past 17.5 years have been an amazing journey, from the Kiosk, through the Shopping Centre upgrades, the many fire alarms, and the countless conversations that I have had with so many people over the years. I personally know the new owner and his management team, and I have every confidence that you will be in the absolute best of hands. They are experienced operators and seek only to improve the experience you have come to expect from us here at Optus Salamander Bay. Since 1995, just after this store opened as Network Communications in Nelson Bay, there has been a member of my family working in this store. I want to pass on our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for your loyalty, support, patronage, kind words, and friendship over the years. The team will still be here, under new management, and they will continue to welcome you as they always have. I look forward to seeing our little Optus Shop go from strength to strength! 05.01.2022 Optus are currently in the process of upgrading our network in the area. This is causing intermittent outages and disruptions to our service. The planned upgrades are happening from 09th March - 13th March. This will be the first of a few planned upgrades as we continue to improve our network and rollout 5G in our area.... This will mean a better experience for everyone. We are working as hard as we can to minimise the disruptions to your service and appreciate the impact that this may have. 01.01.2022 As a result of bushfire activity over the last 24 hours impacting power supply to a hub mobile site, Optus is currently experiencing outages across multiple sit...e locations in the Mid Coast region. These include: BULAHDELAH COOLONGALOOK BRIMBIN EAST RAINBOW FLAT OLD BAR BULAHDELAH BUNGWAHL MT TALAWAHL HALLIDAYS POINT CAPE HAWK TAREE FIREFLY COOMBA PARK ELIZABETH BEACH DARAWANK TAREE CUNDLETOWN WINGHAM MOUNT CHAPMAN SMITHS LAKE Optus are currently working with emergency services to gain access and deploy a generator to the hub site. Although no ETA is currently available we are working through this as quickly and safely as possible and thank the Mid Coast for their patience.
