Whole households are permitted to go for a walk in the park or on the beach and are exempt from the need to social distance from eachother. They must however keep 1.5 mtrs from all others. "Gathering essential goods and services is EVERYTHING except as is specifically listed as exempt. ... Bunnings is open and will sell you a new door mat or a garden hose if you think they are essential. Officeworks will sell you any stationary. You can shop for clothes and household goods. I can even sell you an Antique if you want one. My buisiness is not listed for closure and is therefore not off limits to anyone and I can fit 39 people other than myself in the shop and still observe the 4sqm person distancing rule. Why do you think the Govt has handed out all this cash? You can't stimulate the economy if everyone stays locked in their houses and leaves the cash in the bank. The Premier specifically listed the Queen St Mall in BNE as safe to traverse for goodness sake. James St in Yeppoon and East St in Rocky are open for business. Use your commonsense and if you can afford it spend a little cash and save your favourite local small business from closing. 21.01.2022 I did a call yesterday and saw one of the nicest big antique silky oak display cabinets I have seen in years. I only wish I had a place for it myself. They don't come up for sale often It comes apart for transport into two separate pieces. It measures, 2.25 meters across the front, is 600mm deep at the bottom and is 3 meters high. The owners purchased it locally almost 20yrs ago and paid $8000.oo. They are aware of the fall in the market and open to offers over $3000.o...o. I am happy to connect you directly to the seller.

18.01.2022 Not a single soul through the shop so far today at all and last week was the very worst week since the day we opened over 14 yrs ago. At this rate it will take me a month to pay the restoration costs of this pne piece of furniture alone! Beautiful fully restored maple hall/sofa table on long gabriole legs with foot pads. A little bigger than most 900 wide 450 deep and 760 high. Price reduced to $390.00 to entice people back out of their homes or buy over the phone and we will deliver.

17.01.2022 We are trading as per usual and will do so until we are forced to do otherwise. There is plenty of room in the new shop for 39 people other than Lex and I and we will all be 1.5 m from each other at all times. There is no law as of today that says we can not do business as usual. Cash still welcome as we know how to keep ourselves and others safe.

Antique shopping is still considered essential. We can social distance 39 clients at a time but chances are you will shop by yourself. If you are family you are all welcome to shop as normal. All those who live permanently under the same roo...f can shop in close contact with each other. All others in groups of two only and each group to stay 1.5 meters apart. Most of my customers are family anyway.
