23.01.2022 Its time to introduce another of the Y Fitness superstars - the members are why we do what we do everyday . . Hi my name is Claire and I have been with Sharon at Y Fitness somewhere between 6-10 months. I like a lot of the exercises that we do but my favourite would be the self-paced with weights, something to do with squats or core (Im not very good yet, but getting there!). Least favourite running!! Sharon still makes me do it though. But on the bright side I can now w...alk up stairs without dying a little. Woo! . I never really enjoyed working out, I have no idea what to do at the gym let alone whether im doing it correctly. But since starting at Y Fitness, which was recommended to me by a friend, I have actually really enjoyed going and working out. Being able to workout with people who are so friendly and helpful and also, with a trainer who is tough but so caring and warm, has been so amazingly uplifting not only for my confidence but my desire to stay committed. I really couldnt go anywhere else. See more

14.01.2022 Time to share another of our amazing Y Fitness Crew Members - Lauren (pictured front and centre!) Earlier in the year we posed some questions to the Y Fitness crew and asked them to share their Y (why they train and why they keep coming back to bootcamp). Lauren gave us TEN reasons why! 1 How long have you been training at Y Fitness?... 2 years. 2 What is your favourite exercise? I can't say I have just one favourite exercise but I do prefer resistance training over cardio. 3 What is your Y? (Why train with Sharon ) 1. The packages and sessions are affordable 2. Sharon pushes me to train harder and expect more of myself. I couldn't even do a sit up when I first started and now 2 years later I'm the strongest and fittest I've been in my entire life thanks to Sharon. 3. I can attend session in the morning or evenings 4. I can bring my kids to sessions (although I prefer not to) 5. Laughing is encouraged 6. No topic of conversation is off limits 7. Farting (accidentally or not) is never frowned upon 8. Sharon modifies the exercises to make them easier or harder depending on everyones fitness levels. 9. Every session is different. 10. I love how amazing I feel after a session Thanks for sharing Lauren - you're amazing!

12.01.2022 Happy Hump Day! As we edge closer and closer to getting back to our new normal - it seems a good time to share some some of the fabulous Y Fitness bootcamp family. A while back we asked our members some questions about their training and their Y! First off the mark - Sheridan! (pictured on the right!) ... 1. How long have you been training with Y Fitness? I have been training at Y Fitness since it started... to be more specific I have been training with Sharon for 4 years! 2. What is your favourite exercise? Thats a tough one. The reason I love bootcamp is because it has a lot of variety and works all muscles in one 45 minute session but I guess if I had to choose one or two: - Glute Bridges - Plank Holds 3. What is your Y? I love training with Y Fitness because I love the group dynamic you are competitive with the people around you without even trying to be and I think thats a great little motivator / push to keep going! I am also someone that struggles with mental health and I definitely notice a massive difference in my ability to problem solve, my patience with people and my general wellbeing when I work out compared to when I dont. I also just want to be fit and live a healthy life style so Im not limited to what I can do! As someone that suffers from asthma working out everyday definitely helps in that department to be as fit as I can. Thanks for sharing Sheridan
