22.01.2022 Lets face it. Portraiture isn’t just about the face, when it comes to the Archibald Prize. This is the first in the series Finding the Archibaldand it’s well worth the watch. Being a professional Archibald reject 18 times since 1991 makes me wonder what it is that makes portraiture work? I’m not going to give up but I’m not allowing it to dominate my creative life, as it shouldn’t. Long live the Archibald Prize! Who knows? In another 18 years I may get hung, but it doesn’t drive me as an artist. I love what it does for art.
