25.01.2022 Chelsea and Daisy would like to introduce you to one of their young calves who will be joining their Show Team for 2021. Yimin CD Ferdinand Born: 07 August 2020 (3mths old) Dam: High Country Fairytale... Sire: High Country Gambler Looking forward to watching him grow. The genetic pool that our girls have had access to in building their stud sure is paying off. Thankyou again to High Country Droughtmasters for producing such great quality heifers and bulls, our purchases from previous sales have really paid off! Both Dam and Sire were purchased from the 2018 High Country Annual on-site Sale. We purchased Fairytale for Chelsea and Gorgeous Girl for Daisy. Sadly we lost Gorgeous Girl early last year after a run in with a stupid little pony, however we were very grateful that we managed to save her calf Extraordinaire, who became known as ‘Dougie the Droughtie’! Ferdinand is Fairytales second calf, the first being a heifer calf Yimin CD Enchanted who has been retained in the girls stud. And yes before you ask...Chelsea named them both. I wonder what she will name Fairytales baby next year...perhaps Goldilocks or Giuseppe?

24.01.2022 Another High Country Gambler son. (Lisa Laycock this was the little fella I told Paul about but he want to show himself).

24.01.2022 Feeling a bit like the pided piper! Sally Terry look who is in the lead!!!

24.01.2022 Chelsea and Daisy (Yimin CD Droughtmasters) had been very excited to receive delivery of their newly purchased High Country heifers yesterday however it was bitter sweet with the delayed delivery of High Country Ixia. But all for good reason, she delivered this little beauty late Sunday night. Must have been the excitement of the sale!! Chelsea and Daisy would like to introduce to you: Yimin CD Fearless... Dam: High Country Ixia Sire: Glenlands Quarry A very impressive strong calf who by the looks of that milk bag has a smorgasbord of rich creamy milk. Thankyou again Steph Laycock, Paul & Lisa Laycock for offering this beautiful joined heifer for sale.

23.01.2022 Thanks to the team at JAX Aspley for putting four new tyres on our company vehicle. Still shocked them that I got 228,000km out of the last set they put on for us. Highly recommend these guys, the service is great! Now to drive through some cow manure and these fresh tyres will look all and feel all countrified!!

23.01.2022 Chelsea and Daisy Burton (Yimin CD Droughtmasters) would like to introduce: YIMIN CD FERDINAND Dam: High Country Fairytale (sired by Oasis Wallace) Sire: High Country Gambler (sired by Glenlands Quarry) ... Looking forward to watching this strong little guy grow. Watch this space over the next two years to see how he matures. (And yes...Ferdinand. This is what happens when Daddy Allen Burton lets the girls name their own calves )

23.01.2022 Thought I better introduce Chelsea and Daisys young bull Yimin CD Extraordinaire (aka Dougie the droughtie ).

22.01.2022 The love our little Daisy has for her ‘Extraordinaire’. Luckily Daddy Allen Burton has agreed to retain him in their stud and not sell him. She sure misses her ‘HIgh Country Gorgeous Girl’ but Atleast she was lucky enough to save her calf and this is the result. Paul & Lisa Laycock and Steph Laycock doesn’t this just melt your heart??

22.01.2022 Sharing a virtual cuppa with our dear friends Jenny & Roger from Eversleigh Droughtmasters while watching the husband work. A nice relaxing morning in the sun at Yimin before heading to work at Laidley Hospital later today. Let the team here at Yimin know what youve been up to today and feel free to join in our virtual coffee round and send us a pic! #isocoffeedates #droughtielove #countryfriendshipsfarandwide

22.01.2022 Great to finally see a little rain only 4mm but better than nothing!

21.01.2022 The next generation starting early, discussing the catalogue and sup sheets at the Cream of the Crop 2019 sale! Our girls Chelsea and Daisy always love catching up with Alice from Ironhide Droughtmasters! A wonderful friendship is building between these cute little cattle kids! ... #yds #countrykids #droughtielove #creamofthecrop2019

21.01.2022 Yippee last of the 1500 + bales finally picked up off the paddock!!!

21.01.2022 First of the F calves. Meet Freight-train. Sired by High Country Gambler. Dam is High Country Giselda.

20.01.2022 This time it was our little girls Chelsea & Daisy and their Yimin CD Droughtmaster stud to be mentioned in the Queensland Country Times. The quality of cattle that these girls have included in their breeding program will hopefully give them a great start to their stud in years to come.

20.01.2022 What a beautiful day here at Yimin Droughtmasters. Just bought in over 700 bales of good quality lucerne off one paddock and have a nice crop of forage sorghum growing out on another paddock. #countrylife #foragesorghum #yimindroughtmasters #yimincddroughtmasters

20.01.2022 From the moment these girls were born they have attended cattle sales, cattle shows and spent all their spare time following Dad around the cattle yards. Today marks a special milestone in their lives, a partnership between two very special sisters who not only share a love for eachother, but also share a love for the beef industry, in particular the Droughtmaster breed! We would like to proudly introduce to you, Chelsea & Daisy Burton, the two little girls behind the newly... registered stud: Yimin CD Droughtmasters May their years be filled with learning more about this amazing breed through their passion, their experience and the knowledge handed down to them from the many wonderful and already established studs. So please dont be afraid over the next few years to help teach and guide these girls to be the next generation of cattle breeders, after all its this next generation that will help us to continue the Droughtmaster breed into the future!

20.01.2022 We are excited to be welcoming Karragarra Qiana, a 14 month old, lovely length soft heifer who will compliment our herd genetics very nicely. Purchased at todays Droughtmaster National Female Sale. A big Thankyou to the Droughtmaster National Female Sale Committee for organising and running another very successful sale! We always enjoy purchasing at this sale. A big Thankyou to the Vendors for putting up a wonderful selection of quality females despite the harsh conditions that these cattle have had to endure over the last few years. Just proves how adaptable our breed is. And last but not least, a big congratulations to all other successful bidders...we cant wait to see the progeny you will produce with these fine heifers.

19.01.2022 A couple of High Country Gambler calves.

18.01.2022 These two share so much love for eachother. Yimin CD Extraodinaire (aka Dougie the Droughtie) was in the yards doing some more halter training when Daisy turned up to watch. Straight away he walks over to her and lowers his head for some Daisy love. He might be nearly 450kg but he’s soooo sweet and placid with her. The trouble we have is trying to tell her that he’s still a BULL and never to trust him fully! She still thinks of him as that poor little sick baby calf who lost his Mumma. #daisyanddougie #yimincddroughtmasters #whoneedsdiamondswhenyouhaveadougie

18.01.2022 Another busy day on the farm today! 240 square bales of Rhodes grass and 600 bales of grassy lucerne. This little beauty sure is getting a work out today! Now to get them all stacked in the hay shed!

18.01.2022 One of our three Glenlands bulls we recently purchased...Glenlands D Adkins enjoying an afternoon feed in the Rye/Rhodes pasture with his lovely girls! I think they definitely approve of our move! A huge Thankyou to Marg and John Cochrane from Gympie Regional Realty for helping us find this beautiful property. And an even bigger Thankyou to the previous owners Darrell, Jill, Melissa &Paul, who could have easily just let their paddocks go once we signed the contract but inste...ad planted, watered and looked after these beautiful pastures. https://gympieregionalrealty.com.au/ #feelingblessed #newfriendsforlife #happydroughties #yds

17.01.2022 If only it would!!!!

16.01.2022 Pumpkin picking has started at Yimin Droughtmasters. Chelsea was very proud of herself helping me.

16.01.2022 Out with her Daddy checking out the calves. Chelseas favourite time of the day.

13.01.2022 Boys will be boys!!!

13.01.2022 Yimin Excitement - 6 months old Dam - Yimin Maroochy Sire - High Country Gambler Another one we are very proud of. Thankyou Paul & Lisa Laycock...Gambler has definitely added length, depth and quality into our herd. Looking forward to your 2020 Performance Sale to see what other additions we can add, especially to our little girls stud Yimin CD Droughtmasters.

12.01.2022 This morning we welcomed Glenlands J Beamer and Glenlands Brandy, both purchased from the Glenlands Herd Builder Sale. After purchasing Beamers full sister (Glenlands J Alexis) and Brandys half sister (Glenlands Bianca) from last years sale, this was an opportunity that we couldnt miss. The quality heifer calf (Yimin Flame) that Glenlands J Alexis has produced with Sire High Country Gambler (a Glenlands Quarry son) has proven the quality genetics that Glenlands produces. We are very happy that we have secured these two beautiful well structured heifers into our breeding herd and look forward to seeing the progeny that they will produce in the years to come. Thank you to Glenlands for putting up such a lovely line of heifers for sale.

09.01.2022 At this years Droughtmaster National Female Sale our focus was on purchasing a lovely line of heifers under the Yimin CD Droughtmaster Stud. Chelsea and Daisy are very excited to welcome to their new stud (in order of purchase): Karragarra Quetzal - 13mths Bryvonlea Indianah - 14mth 3D Lashes - 17mths... 07.01.2022 The team at Yimin Droughtmasters would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and hope that you and your loved ones stay safe over this festive period. Now that we have made the move to Toogoolawah, Qld we cant wait to keep you up to date with whats happening in 2020!

07.01.2022 Yesterday we were lucky enough to be winning bidders on four amazing quality heifers from the High Country Sale. Lot 42 - High Country Ixia Lot 43 - High Country Icicle Lot 44 - High Country Isadorable... Lot 55 - High County Josefina Lots 42, 43 & 44 going to Yimin CD Droughtmasters while Lot 55 will join Yimin Droughtmasters. I know Chelsea and Daisy are very excited to welcome Ixias first calf in the not so distant future. All four heifers bring exceptional genetics to our current breeding herd and we are all excited to see what progeny they will produce. Thankyou again to the Team at High Country Droughtmasters for putting up exceptional quality yet again, and a huge congratulations to them on another successful sale. We have been purchasing quality cattle through High Country for the last five years and are keen to now see our genetic breed plan come to fruition. We are already impressed by the quality of our progeny produced from previous years purchases.

07.01.2022 Another High Country Gambler son.

06.01.2022 Some of the kids around the property this morning.

04.01.2022 So we havent had a Dougie Update for a while so today we went out into the paddock and snapped a few photos of him. He was a little camera shy today so we will try again tomorrow. Hes growing into a nice big boy...5 and a bit months old. Doing well still drinking off his adoptive Mumma Shari 4 Tits...although shes also substitute feeding another calf on the sly! Again would like to thank everyone who wished this little boy good health and a speedy recovery. Cant believe we lost his Mumma and nearly lost him too!

04.01.2022 That time again! Making the most of a break in the weather and getting these paddocks cut! Chelsea was in helping mode today but after driving round and round in circles for the last two hours shes calling time out...til shes had some lunch! Happy Saturday people...tell us what youre all up to. #yds #familyhaytime #droughties #grassylucerne

03.01.2022 One of our favourite young bulls, 8 month old Yimin Earthquake - sired by High Country Gambler, a Glenlands Quarry Son. His Dam Yimin Zelda, sired by Glenlands Major General and out of a Fairhaven cow.

02.01.2022 First lot of hay off for the week over 40 round bales of forage sorghum. Only about 900 squares to do of lucerne, grassy lucerne and Rhodes grass to do in the next couple of days

02.01.2022 After a busy day in the cattle yards yesterday, we all thought wed sit down and spend some time as a family. And Chelsea thought what better way than hanging out with her Daddy and their four legged best friend Angel. A rare moment when Dad isnt running around the farm working. #mydadmyhero #fatherdaughtertime #yds #sundayfunday #bordercollies

01.01.2022 After 35ml yesterday and just over an inch again last night the creek is finally flowing. Hopefully the weir will be full soon!
