15.01.2022 Wednesday 2nd December saw a Skins comp held at the club. 14 participants from Morwell club, Boolarra and Yinnar battled each other and the wind over three games. The wind early in the morning made for some interesting and fun results with several players loosing multiple bowls on the first end due to strong wind. The 3 listed games were completed before the lunch break and everyone socialized and laughed over Sausages & onions in bread. After the lunch break the 4 highest sc...orers from the morning, Tim Roche, Cathleen Dodds, Gordon Smith (all from Yinnar) and Wayne Arnold (Morwell Club) all had 20 points. A 1 bowl shoot out was held to decided the final 3 players. Unfortunately for Wayne Arnold his bowl ended up in the ditch leaving Tim, Gordon and Cathleen to play off in a 3 bowl final. Cathleen was the first to depart leaving Gordon and Tim to fight for first place. Down to a final 1 bowl shoot out, Tim Roche managed to slightly get the edge over Gordon. As a first time event everyone was very happy with how the day turned out and it is hoped that another Skins event may be held sometime in the new year. See more
