22.01.2022 {About Yin Yoga} Yin yoga is a more inward and slower practice where shapes (postures) are held over an extended time. With a focus manipulating the ‘yin tissues’ of the body which are more plastic, it takes longer for them to reform. Yin is about passive effort, not forced, there is still some tension in the shape but it is more subtle. To support vulnerable body parts and minimise forcing we use yoga props, for example, bolsters, straps, blankets and blocks. Yin yoga is a ...compliment to a Yang yoga practice as both styles are not stand-alone. In a yang practice postures are more dynamic, held for shorter times, natural body heat is created, and it helps to build and stabilise muscles through engagement. Yin is the opposite it is cooling, stiller, inward, working with the hidden layers of the body passively to encourage the movement of fluids through the connective tissue creating space for an increased range of motion. Yin can be meditative as it offers the opportunity for self- inquiry. For others, it may present a challenge through the physicality of the holds and silent contemplation. People may wish to practice yin to assist in slowing down from the hustle of everyday busy lives. Yin offers the opportunity to drop into the parasympathetic nervous system, the rest and digest state where the body can naturally repair. If we spend too much time in a fight or flight mode, this can cause stress that can lead to health issues. The more time we can spend slowing down in rest and digest; again this will assist in the longevity of life. On a physical level yin juices up the connective tissues keeping them healthy and vibrant, it may help to slow down the natural ageing and drying process of the body. By manipulating the fascia regularly and keeping it hydrated through a yin practise, we are also reprograming the nervous system to tell the body it can relax and move further. It is the nervous system that causes tension in the body. Thus building our stretch tolerance by creating new neural pathways in the brain via the nervous system. Yin practises can assist in unlocking stress in the body on many levels. It may not be relaxing at first but a few minutes of broad discomfort can help you greatly in the long run by being less stressed. Who doesn't want less stress in their lives? Join us on Sunday 8th December for the next Yin Pin Gong event to experience the power of three magical modalities on one. See 'events' for all the details.

22.01.2022 Eleven days to go until Yin Pin Gong Summer addition! Seven places left for this unique and nourishing experience.

22.01.2022 Sophie, Kohra and Nat are super excited to bring you the next edition of YPG in just over 4 weeks, focusing on the Earth element or our Spleen and Stomach channels Earth element has its home in the Late Summer, the harvest time of the year when Mother Earth is at her fullest. If our Earth element is in balance, we are open to receiving as well as giving - we can nurture and be nurtured, understand and be understood. When our Earth is out of balance, we begin to lose our ...ground and our centre, repeating worn out patterns that don’t serve us, our thoughts spinning round and round in our heads. Our organs of stomach, spleen and pancreas may also be out of order. We can support our Earth by making sure we have a balance between taking care of self and others. What is it that we need that nurtures our soul? We focus on rebalancing the Earth element using the combination of three holistic modalities of Yin Yoga, Acupuncture and Sound Healing over two hours. All three modalities assist you in enhancing your body’s own ability to heal and most importantly provides a time for you to stop and reflect on what your spirit needs so you can live closer to your most natural state Book now via https://www.radiantchi.com.au/even/late-summer-yin-pin-gong

21.01.2022 Benefits of Sound Healing Sound vibration can open, clear and recharge the whole body, mind and spirit, breaking up, dissolving and releasing blockages. This helps reduce stress and creates a deep sense of peace, wellbeing and better health. Physical Healing The sound of the gong produces a strong sound wave which stimulates the physical body by influencing the body’s dermatomes on the surface of the skin, which expend from the spine throughout the body. Through a network ...of nerves, these skin areas are connected to different organs in the body with corresponding segments of the spinal cord. These skin areas can be stimulated by sound waves, much like a massage, and produce effects on corresponding organs and other areas of the body. Emotional Healing As the sound of the gong creates deep relaxation, clears the mind, and stimulates the glandular system to a higher level of functioning, it also aids in the reorganization of emotional energy and feelings that are tied into the body structure and consequently affect the mind. Spiritual Healing The gong helps the listener detach from the pressure and content of the mind, through an induced meditative state in order to get free of habitual patterns. The spiritual healing of the gong occurs through the connection it makes between the listener and the world beyond the body and mind. It can create a non-ordinary state of transcendent reality and a connection with a vastness beyond the finite self. Combining the benefits of Sound Healing with the ancient medicine of Yin Yoga & Acupuncture with the knowledgeable Kat Gregory and Natalie Bailey will elevate you to a higher level or bliss and realignment.

16.01.2022 Happy Lunar New Year!

13.01.2022 The Fire Element relates to the four Fire meridians: Heart, Small Intestine, Heart Protector and Triple Warmer. All of these meridians are concerned with how we relate to the world. The emotion of Fire is joy. We can support our Fire element by making sure we have some fun in our lives! Summer is a time of growth, when Nature reaches its crescendo and when our Fire element comes into play. If our Fire element is in balance, we will respond with Joy to this expansiveness. Ou...r hearts are full and open and we connect to others with warmth and love. The boundaries of our hearts are appropriate as we open to love, but we also know when to protect our hearts. When our Fire element is out of balance, we can close our hearts, become cold and shut off; or we might have boundaries that are inappropriate. We might feel joyless, or at the other extreme, become easily overexcited. Join us for an immersion into exploring our Fire element with Yin Yoga postures and Acupuncture that stimulates our Fire meridians, supported by the Healing sounds of the Gongs and crystal bowls. Come into balance according to the season of Summer and open your heart to joy and expansiveness.
