13.01.2022 I'm sure you've seen these terms in witchy texts in relation to directions. Deosil means 'sun-wise' following the path of the sun as it rises in the East and sets in the West which is clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere as the sun moves through the sky you see when you look to the South. In the Southern Hemisphere the sun moves through sky you see when you look North which makes it an anti-clockwise movement. Widdershins is the opposite direction, counter-sun-wise
