17.01.2022 The late Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks famously said about the Lubavitcher Rebbe: Where other leaders created followers, the Rebbe created leaders. In the opening to this week’s Torah portion, Toldot, we read about how Avraham’s son Yitzchak had identical features to his father, and wherever he went, people saw Avraham in him. That’s what Rabbi Sacks meant by the Rebbe creating leaders, to be extensions of himself in their own communities. It is a tremendous responsibility, and... we strive every day to fulfil this mandate. We are told by Yitzach that he was very successful, why because he chose to get up and go "vayaylech holoch a double expression of going. In the coming new week 1) Get up. 2) Move forward. 3) Don’t sit back - let’s all get up and go! Shabbat Shalom to all!
