07.01.2022 In line with NSW Government measures to stop the spread of COVID-19, the Y NSW is using the Service NSW QR code system for entry into our facilities. As of Tuesday, 19 January 2021, new QR codes will replace existing ones in all Y NSW facilities and can be accessed at entry points. All customers who are currently required to scan the code, will continue to do so using the Service NSW code.... The code will link to your Service NSW app. To ensure the process is as smooth as possible, we strongly recommend you download the Service NSW app on your phone if you haven’t already done so. If you do not have a smartphone or encounter an error with the QR code on your phone, our friendly customer service staff are able to enter you into our facility manually. 06.01.2022 STORY TIME CAROLYN I started teaching swimming lessons Over 6 ago. I have always swam, as a child I was in the alma swimming club. Then as I got older I swam for fitness. One day I was asked if I would be interested in teaching LTS, My son was moving away to live and it was time for a change. IT was the best thing I ever did. I really love the kids faces when they do something for the first time. Such as blow bubbles, get there breathing right for the first time after... a long time of really trying. My passion is the older kids, I get a lot of enjoyment out of them. Quite a lot of the children I taught have gone on to the swimming club which I am really proud of. I have even been to the first carnival that Jack Millard swam in. Jack was my first swimmer to go to the swimming club. I have been with the Y now over 6 years and work in different departments and really enjoy my job. See more

05.01.2022 We would like to advise you of a change that has been made to the Y NSW online booking system. The release time for online bookings has now been moved from 12:00am (midnight) to 7:00am. This means that up until 6:59am customers are able to book for the day of and the next day, and from 7:00am, bookings for an additional day in advance are released. ... For example; At 6:00am on Monday, customers can see bookings available for Monday and Tuesday. From 7:00am, customers can see bookings for Monday, Tuesday and also Wednesday. I.e. The bookings for an additional day in advance are released from 7:00am. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Centre.

05.01.2022 8 YEARS OF THE YNSW MANAGEMENT AT BROKEN HILL REGIONAL AQUATIC CENTRE Tomorrow (December 1) we celebrate 8 years of managing the beautiful Broken Hill Regional Aquatic Centre on behalf of Broken Hill City Council We firmly believe that this centre is our towns greatest asset and we are privileged to manage the day to day operations and make a positive difference to our community! ... Wow! What a journey.. In 8 years we have only closed the centre once for 3 hours due to lack of staff - this shows commitment and dedication from our team (past and present) - the people who make everyday happen just by showing up! We are the most geographically remote centre from the YNSW head office and we commend all staff for running the site with remote support. To Dana, Danielle, Jason & Jacinta - the team that has been here since day 1 ... THANK YOU for your continuous dedication and commitment to the centre, to the Y & the community! Here are some interesting facts & figures since we opened the doors on December 1, 2012! Over 1 MILLION VISITS!
