From the visible progress of the revisiting consumers to the knowledge gained from the students. It goes to show the positive effects Recovery Camp can have. Recovery Camp puts an emphasis on bringing awareness to the stigmas around mental health. Studies have even shown Recovery Camp can be more beneficial than a clinical placement.

16.01.2022 What is it like being a Camp Instructor? There are many responsibilities to take on. From camp briefing, kayaking, giant swing, to fletching arrows from archery. Beyond that, camp instructors aim to serve a greater purpose through outdoor education. The goal is to leave a positive impact on the young folks we encounter. Staff training consists of putting the skills we teach into practice and in this case testing a new activity, crate stack! It is all about building a sense of community then sharing that with all the children and young adults that walk through our gates.

16.01.2022 Both Yarramundi and his father, Gombeberre of the Darug people met Governor Phillip and to the colonizers surprise, friendly Yarramundi showed Phillips around the area for three days. #campyarramundihistory

Sex, sexuality or gender identity does not change this. Today the Y NSW will be wearing purple to show our support. This years theme #WeAreTheChange represents us, as a generation, implementing productive and inclusive changes in society.
