23.01.2022 It's Children's Week! This year's theme is celebrating the rights of all children to choose their own friends and safely connect with others. We are constantly educating children about complex subjects but we do it through stories, imagination and play. These experiences build up their understanding and, over time, help them find their place in the world.... Kelly reads the gorgeous book by Trace Moroney about When I am Feeling Kind to help children identify, connect and express their feelings. We hope you enjoy

22.01.2022 Clyde North ELC have sent another group of brave, excited and ready for school kinder children on to their next big life milestone. We've loved taking this journey with you and hope to see you again at OSHC and School Holiday Programs for years to come.

21.01.2022 It's been a busy week of discovery and adventure at the Torquay School Holiday Program. Crazy coloured tie dye socks were a massive hit with everyone and some of the kids wore theirs the next day to show off how cool the designs came out when dry. Science day was all about optical illusions and mixing different colours using paper towel to make a rainbow effect. Then there was erupting volcano's and play dough making.... There's been heaps of group games and LEGO has been an interest this week with many children working together to create mini cities. And our virtual Healesville Sanctuary experience taught us some great facts about the Lyre Bird.

20.01.2022 Children who are active on a daily basis are more likely to be a healthy weight, develop stronger bones, achieve greater academic success and experience better mental health with less susceptibility to symptoms of depression and anxiety. When children attend our services, they develop these skills through various forms of play which results in lifelong benefits for health and wellbeing. http://victoria.ymca.org.au/about/physical-literacy.html

20.01.2022 The exceptionally talented Vineetha from our Clyde North Early Learning Centre continues to share her skills with us. She recently wrote this lovely children's story that was published in her very own locally run Sri Lankan Women's Magazine - Aalokaa. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did

12.01.2022 Last week, in celebration of Children's Week, the children at St Monica's OSHC voted for what challenges and games they wanted to do as well as deciding what creations they would make for Halloween. This is what they came up with Child led activities spark more enthusiasm, creativity and learning opportunities. They get to explore the world on their terms, while we guide, support and provide the best environment for them to get the most out of the experience.

06.01.2022 Diwali, the festival of lights, celebrates the victory of light over darkness. This year has certainly personified that theme and will be celebrated on Saturday November 14, across the world. The children at Lightning Reef ELC created their own colourful, glittery candles to mark the occasion and learned what it means for the Indian community, of which over 700,000 call Australia home. ...
