19.01.2022 On Saturday 23 November, all 15 YMCA associations across the country (including YMCA Victoria) camp together at the YMCA Australia AGM and voted to adopt the new Y logo. It’s the first time in 52 years that the legacy brand’s logo has changed a milestone in a milestone year for the YMCA globally, which is celebrating its 175th birthday. The new evolutionary logo pays tribute to our heritage and history maintaining the critical triangle element of the Y’s ‘Body Mind Spirit’... Mission, but also signals our new direction with a logo (designed by one of our own young people!) that is fresh and modern, said YMCA National CEO Melinda Crole. The new brand was created from the ground up, with hundreds of Y staff, volunteers and participants engaged in its development which started with agreeing that to be relevant today we needed to be more relevant to young people. The new logo will formally roll out across YMCA Victoria over the next couple of months on all new collateral. It will be a slow roll out and all collateral with the current logo can still be utilised.

15.01.2022 We are celebrating being the first organisation in Australia to provide this wonderful package by our fitness partner Les Mills Asia Pacific free for 2 months (...60 days) to the Y in our time of crisis. This week alone we have gifted access to over 200,000 of our valued members, employees and volunteers (sadly thousands who are currently stood down) from the Top End to Tassie and East to West Coast, while our recreation facilities are closed due to Coronavirus. Our number one priority remains the health and safety of our people, customers and the wider community. Thanks Les Mills for helping our members (and employees and volunteers) to keep fit and active while we are all in lock down by providing Les Mills Premium on Demand service of 800+ at home workouts. And thanks to our colleagues in Canada we also can offer EVERYONE in the community free access to a wide range of online fitness and wellbeing programs - www.ythrive.ca/videos The Y as we are now known in Australia has existed and continuously evolved over 175 years for young people in body, mind and spirit, and to strengthen communities. #YMCAStandsTogether

13.01.2022 Once again, we are excited to be hosting the Eltham Dandenong Junior Basketball Tournament this weekend! This is the world's biggest Junior Basketball Tournamen...t with over 1,300 teams from U10 - U20 Boys & Girls from all across Australia and New Zealand. Manningham Stadiums will have Mullum Mullum Stadium, Manningham DISC, Doncaster Leeds St, Templestowe Leisure Centre and Sheahans Rd Stadium all in action over the long weekend. Please note the Basketball Courts are booked out tonight, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Good luck to everyone participating this weekend in particular Manningham Basketball teams!

05.01.2022 Fantastic to see the Warrandyte team who recently attended the YMCA Victoria's Youth Parliament featured in the Manningham Leader this week. This annual program gives Youth a voice and in the past has made valuable changes to Victorian law.
